Where is the land that you gave to Palestinians that they have to give you the peace in lieu of??

Even now, after the recent truce agreements, the Palestinians kept firing the kasams... Not all of them, I don't want to generalize, but some of the militant organizations.

Why do you keep asking what are we ready to provide you? Have you asked yourself what are YOU ready to provide us?

Actually, we have more than 2 parties. Vast majority of them is against war.
Most of jews don't want war. Now I don't know how about Lebanon, but I assume that most of the Lebanese people don't want war as well.

honestly i hope this thread isn't a mini-war in the making on this site. i know that ppl feel strongly about these issues but remember that a good debate ends with a mutual hand shake.:toast:

To end a debate with a mutual hand shake a certain agreement between the two sides has to be reached. In order to achieve it there has to be some sort of a clean debate, some sort of mutual understandings.
Now I can't speak for my fellow debater here, only for myself, and I have to say that I, personally, ready to listen, to learn, to discuss, to tell my side of the story, to listen to the other side and, eventually, to reach some sort of understanding and to shake hands.
After that has been said, I guess the ball now is on the other side...

Nasrallah is gonna make a statement today at 8.30. Supposedly he has something VERY big to say. there are also rumors that the protesters will infiltrate the Grand Serail on Sunday.

The positive thing is that he repeated several times that he's no where looking for another Iraq meaning no Shiia Vs Sunni. Thats something good. Hopefully his supporters can apply that.

The negative thing is that he keeps on accusing our Prime minister Sanyoura with several things, when In-fact he can't understand the fact that Sanyoura is the one who stopped this war.

Guys please grow up, open your eyes. He repeated it a hundred times - dammit he even said I will bow down to a righteous Sunni leader if he was honest and fair.

He said I will not point my guns toward a single Lebanese. Our bullets will not even be shot at the sky. The only direction our bullets are going in...to the chests of our enemies, the Zionists.

He also mentioned that some (unnamed) PROMINENT Lebanese politicians (that was the big thing Stripper was mentioning) had collaborated with the USA to give the green light to Israel to bomb the f*ck out of Lebanon INDEFINITELY until Hezballah are completely destroyed.

He was *this* close to mentioning the names....but he didn't because he doesn't want to start a civil war. Alot of talk is that it was Samir Geagea and Walid Jounblatt.

He completed his speech by announcing a Friday prayer to the Muslims of the demonstrators...and that will be led by a SUNNI cleric, and he even told the Shi'a Muslims to pray according to the SUNNI timing, and just make an exception for one day. (as a Shi'a myself, I'm not too familiar with the Shi'a timing...usually Shi'a pray 3 times a day instead if 5 because you are allowed to "combine" prayers in a certain order)

I don't know what else to say about Sayid Hassan Nasrallah...speechless.

Oh and one more thing, I'm glad he finally made such a passionate rally, because as you can see from my earlier posts - I was getting the impression that the demonstrations were becoming a joke and a waste of time.

It's passion like this that leads a true revolution. This is what the protests were missing, and I hope he's knocked some sense into these protestors heads i.e. You're not down here because I told you so, but for a valid reason.

The funny thing is that Nabih Berre during the war kept praising sanyoura and stated that the war wouldn't have stopped without Sanyoura.

So, he would bow down for a Sunni leader but the leader has to be of his standards. Great. Would he bow down for Michel Aoun? Because I think he will. What an honest and fair man Michel Aoun is.

I can say one thing about Hassan Nassralla, he's a charismatic person that can win the hearts of the simple minded by using words and tricks to agitate them. His purpose is to make war and let people follow him for war just to keep Iran and Syria happy. And who else but out biggest warhead Michel Aoun is there to ally with?

And Rabea, it's not about Geagea and Jounblatt calling up George Bush [EDIT], but since Condoleeza Rice (and our cabinet members as well) relied on heavy "shuttle diplomacy" to try and end this war, it is inevitable that one's ideas were able to influence the other. The congress will see what the leaders are interested in, and see which decision benefits them the most.
