from this tribunal we can see the likes of Maher Assad, Assef Shawkat, Emil Lahoud all in jail. we will live by then in peace. As long as there isn't tribunal they'll continue their terrorist attacks.

Freedom sometimes costs, but thats how we buy our freedom.
If these get jailed, you have no idea what Lebanon and the whole middle east will turn to, it is not that easy to solve it that way, sadly..

Basshar will not let himself or his brother end up in jail, and If they do that with force, and if they try to invade Syria, that will be the end of Middle east, you will see the mother of wars, the ugliest way, from Iran to Hizbollah to Syria.. I don't even want to imagine that.

I know it is not fair and all, but these two sides should forget everything (Even Hariri's death, it is harsh but there is no other way..) and settle this case politically, and start from scratch.. not going to happen probably, so I am afraid we will watch more of these attacks..

worse than what we're seein these days snoop? things cant get uglier than what it is atm.

I don't know what will happen in Syria If bashar will be removed. But I don't think it'll come across in Lebanon. Anyway, it doesn't only seem like Tribunal is following Bashar, Israel is keeping a close eye on him. they're waiting a small mistake from him to bomb his head.

So his time is basically coming, probably not from the tribunal, but from the dirty work he's doing in Iraq. States and Israel will never let this go.

you don't see bombs in a public and crowded places, where a one bomb kills 100 and over.. yes Lebanon didn't become Iraq.

He doesn't have to come there, he has Hizbollah there, can you imagine what happens If hezbollah uses their weapons inside?

he did the mother of mistakes one after other, and not in secret.. did you forgot the suiciders that went to Iraq thru Syria? what did US do?? nothing..

invading Syria or ending Syrian regime is the last thing they would think, Iraq, Lebanon, then Syria?? you know what that means? a disaster for Israel. not to forget the terrorist in Jordan also, and Iran's Nuclear weapons that you know what can do to Israel from their place..

These are not going to happen, they are not that crazy. We are only watching some small political "wars". even if the trial happens, they will settle it the way both sides will please.

Just notice how the rumors started about Fateh Islam. anything happens now, they are to be blamed.. tonight they denied that what happened in verdun was done by them.. some of them are blaming them for verdun incident, and not just that, also the past incidents in two years, I won't be surprised If they will blame them also Hariri's murder.. and the case solved.

That is somehow true. But don't forget snoop, we have small borders and we're not a big country. there's no way terrorists can enter from Palestine-Israel, only from Syria, we protect that well, we're in better hand. Even Michel Aoun stated that. to protect borders well.

I understand your point snoop. though I can't see Hizbollah using their weapons in the inside...Nasrallah can't do that, he already promised the people and Hezbollah are never allowed to use the weapon for the inside. but who knows.

Thats what I actually thought. Anyway, they probably cant call bashar, because there isn't any touched proves about him, though he's the one who gave the order to kill Hariri but he was smart not to make any touched proves.

But the idea of making this tribunal, somehow will teach the syrian regime a lesson, to stop their assasination thing, to stop their shits on all over Lebanon. we'll surely have much more peace.

Anyway, I want Lahoud to be called to this tribunal more than anyone.

Could be many sides behind the verdun and ashrafeyyeh, but they're number 1 suspects, because the ones who were behind "Ain Alak" If you remmber one day before 14march this year were brought down, and they were from Fatah Islam.

Anyway these Fatah Islam do lie alot....today their leader stated that Saad Hariri gave them the order to do all this mess:confused:... enno w errrrr, only an idiot would believe that, it's obvious what they're trying to do...Civil war my friend.

the thing is half of Lebanon (probably less), and specially the ones who live in north and south are non-Lebanese majority.. The Syrians in Trablos and around along with the Palestinians from a side, Syrians again at south, who probably has loyalty to Nasrallah more than Lebanon. If these things happen, what can Lebanese army do when they stuck between Palestinians and Syria?

I don't trust anyone, I am not sure neither that they won't do anything like that. But you know their relations with Syria and Iran, If the Opposite Lebanese try to hurt Syria in someway, will they stay quiet? I can't answer that.. but so far they are. Don't forget the clip some one posted here, on how they throw the Lebanese flag and put Hizbollah's instead, we don't know how many percent of them like that.

Good points snoop.

Btw, Al-Jazeera tv is such a fanatic tv station that are spreading some fals informations everywhere, no wonder why Palestinians are angry, they're attacking the Lebanese Army and bashing them alongside the gov.

FFS, news channel should work prof, not because the majority of them are Palestinians who work for that channel means that they should bash our army. what a fuckin biased.

These kind of media can really turn a situaion into fire. today they proves many people that they're bunch of fanatics Sunni people.

I can only conclude one thing out of all these mess, that this a scenario.. they are being used by someone, and are taking all the blames on them, to save the real Criminals from the trial. Probably both sides know about this.

Cause I can't understand or think of a reason why these group make all these. it's not like Lebanon is supporting Israel against Palestinians. so what is it? trial, Hizbollah and other lebanese isues are not their cases, so what is going on. are they mixing the Lebanese army with Israeli? :D

If it is not like what I think, then this case is tough my friend, Allah y3inkon.

I will be there too probably. My sister is there

the borders are closed at the moment, I wonder how long this shit will last.
you reminded me of something funny.

Syrians close their borders yesterday with Lebanon saying that they're scared these fatah islam not to enter their country. when infact they entered from syria to lebanon:lol:

Just like also few months ago also, they send few people carrying weapon and they send them to the american embassy in syria, a moment after they shot these people and then syrian gov stated that they saved the american embassy from a huge terrorist attack:lol:,

And people on this forum still think they know what's better for the Lebanese despite them living 5000 lightyears away from Beirut.
Well, it's not like the morons currently running this regime in Beirut know what they're doing.

This is all part of an ulterior motive to create a Sunni Militia - the only religious faction in Lebanon without a military wing.

Andy, Rab...check out what the Leb gov't thinks what is the best solution. A truce. lol...seriously this is one big joke....:disagree:

NAHR AL-BARED, Lebanon (AFP) - The Lebanese government offered late Monday a truce in its confrontation with Islamists in north Lebanon that cost 58 lives, as a bomb exploded in Beirut for the second straight night.

"The Lebanese army is ready to stop firing if the other side does the same. It will not open fire if it is not attacked," a government source in Beirut said, on condition of anonymity.

The offer followed indirect negotiations between the army and the splinter group Fatah al-Islam through the mediation of Jamaa Islamiya, a Sunni organisation, participants in the contacts told AFP.

While that may be indeed true, they are Lebanese afterall. Just like Hezbollah started nonsense this past summer, some supposed Fatah al-Islam members robbed a bank and started shooting at Lebanese investigators. Then the military started lobbing missiles into the UNRWA camp which is located in Lebanon. That's like me robbing a bank, shooting at police, and then calling all my forum friends to rise up against the US government who started lobbing missiles at my neighborhood in rural Pennsylvania. Seems like a lot of nonsense to start another conflict over but this has probably been on the cards for a while now.

I mean, afterall, Lebanon is Phoenicia, not Palestine, and the government's patience ran out so they broke a treaty and shelled a camp they could easily negate from existence. What on earth makes Fatah al-Islam believe they reserve the right to walk around like they own the place beats me, and hence why I'll never really understand that place and most people never will. There are no answers, no solutions.

But it's ridiculous for people not Lebanese to think they know what is best for actual Lebanese. It's like me, as an American, stating what's best for Iraquis when everyone knows full well it's utterly wrong and retarded.
