Juve prepare Crouch bid Thursday 4 January, 2007

Reports in Italy suggest that Juventus are interested in Liverpool striker Peter Crouch, who could replace David Trezeguet at the end of the season.
The Bianconero (pictured) is currently contracted to the Turin outfit until 2008, but he has not yet confirmed if he will stay next year.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Crouch could become an alternative to the Frenchman if he were to leave the Corso Galileo Ferraris outfit.
Rumours suggest Trezeguet could be included in a swap deal, seeing as he was already close to the Reds in 2001.
Juventus officials are scheduled to travel to London to discuss the transfer of West Ham midfielder Javier Mascherano and will reportedly take advantage of the trip to speak with Liverpool about the possibility of signing Crouch at the end of this term.
If the negotiation were to fail, Juventus have an alternative in Ajax star Klaas Jan Huntelaar, who is considered one of the most promising striking talents on the market.
The 23-year-old, who has scored for fun over the past few seasons, was paired with several Italian clubs in the past, including Fiorentina, but a transfer was never finalised.
