I apologize for this, since I'm not playing, but my long time mafia experience tells me that Janna was the lawyer, she tried to save herself from being lynched, Jasper didn't know that lawyers can't save themselves and accepted Janna's request.

Its kind of hard to know when its not written in the rule page. I stand by my decision, if the BG can save themself - so can the lawyer. This round has super messed up rules anyway.
