there is no denying that Tiago was a massive disappointment last season, but to state that Poulsen has shown more than him is giving Poulsen waaay too much credit
i'll try to clarify this... right now i am just judging their attitude while on the field. the feeling i get when i watch them play. the one makes you think that he really wants to force a win, the other seems to say "ok, perhaps i'll go there ... aaah, fuck it ... better not ... i would have to run there to receive the ball ... to exhausting".

i do not judge any achievement of the players because i think both do not have much to show for ... i think we will have a talk about that at the end of the season ... i would not mind if both turn out good.

I think that's fair enough...I'm pretty sure Tiago was committed to the cause, but he did look very lackluster in his demeanour as well last year...thankfully he has greatly improved on both his performances and attitude

Is Facundo also a CB?
I've always respected the Argie defenders. They always produced top quality there and in the last 2 decades they were second only to Italians, regarding defenders.
But lately, after Walter Samuel who is now 30, there haven't been many top quality CBs coming from Argentina. Heinze, Coloccini and Milito were tipped to become great but they never became greats. Burdisso became a laughing stock, Gonzalo Rodriguez is yet to prove his worth and that's it.

Do you see someone who can be as good as Ayala, Sensini or Samuel?
check out the third goal facundo(roncaglia) gives that killer through pass to datolo. funny enough he came on as a sub in that game too after calvo went down.

as for hot prospects i really liked monzon from the little i had seen of him

I'm not so sure...if we have our full selection of CMs, I think Ranieri will go for a Tiago-Sissoko pairing...I think we won something like 5 games in a row when they started?

Well it's hard to say since Zanetti was injured back then. I'm pretty sure it's gonna be Momo and whoever is fit and impressing in training. Even Marchisio has impressed when he's been playing so don't think there's any guarantees for any other cm than Momo.

He has taken the next step in his career quite well in Sevilla this season, being really reliable in both DM and CB in games like the Barca one, despite Sevilla getting owned. Watch this season which is likely his breakout season, instead of FM mumbo jumbo.

And regarding argie defenders, dont see much of anything coming out, except Garay, though is more of a Marquez or Chivu type in being excellent footballer then topnotch defender first. Gonzalo Rodrigues would be as classy as Chiellini if he ever stopped getting injured.

Whoever wants us to sign Gallas should have seen the game that just ended. At best helds a high level, but consistently costing Arsenal vital pts is something he has made a habit of his, like just now. Too much of a hit a miss, defenitely, bit weird his low concentration level for such an experienced player.

Couldnt agree more:tup: Gallas has been an average centre back ever since he left chelsea, where he was world class, (and funnily was going to sign for us in the summer of 06) Whoever wants us to sign him NOW wants his head checking. If were going to sign a centre back from the EPL, it should be Agger.
