Anyway i hear a lot of rumors linking us with a million players, wherever we are come january, i hope we don't go into any panic buys as i have a feeling the board could do that.

The (back then) 19 yo guy on the left and the 22 yo guy on the right were bought for 11m eur total.
Back when he bought them it didn't even look cheap and it passed relatively unnoticed.

Today, less than year and a half after the picture was taken, Napoli can easily get 35 maybe even 40m eur for these guys and they know the price can only go up + they know that these two can bring them more money by qualifying Napoli for the European competitions.

Mathieu still needs to improve his defending skills btw. Not to mention he hasnt played 3 straight games for 2 years now, he's off form and he's not even a starter for Toulouse this season.

In short, he would be an unnecessary risk.

I think the club will try for someone in the winter. like Modric is not having much success at Tottenham .. maybe we can get him in Winter? Or if we bid for Diego big in winter?

Modric would be an improvement and so would alonso. Alonso would be a really good buy considering we have Giovinco. Alonso does both defensive work and can take the reigns for the midfield creativity.

They should have bought Alonso during summer transfer campagn, but our management was incompetent as always
