Dude, its 2008.
and your point is?

what are you talking about?? Really did you watch Benzema in anything other than the Euro's??

Benzema is obviously a talented player, i dont think he's as good as Aguero, but he's not far behind. Osman said everything there is to say here.
Yes I did and I must say altough he is undoubtly a great player he is nowhere near Aguero

Aguero is on his way to become a future golden ball winner (when he signs for a better club ofcourse) and he is probably the best forward in the world today (considering C.Ronaldo as a winger...)

Benzema is clearly a good player but I cant say the same about him

Andy is right here, I heard a lot of times here that Del Piero is better than Zidane, for example. :howler:
I haven't heard that from people of other clubs such as Sampdoria. They don't always take so kindly to Del Piero. But for instance, many people think Baggio was better than Zidane; perhaps on just being a joy to watch, but not technically. Zidane blows anybody out of the water in the technical facets of the game.

I just couldn't believe my ears/eyes when I heard some Azzurri fans claim Zidane wasn't top ten in the last decade, let alone in history. I mean, clearly this is sheer bias; that's the only way to explain this tomfoolery. If people are claiming stuff like this, of course they'll state Benzema and the rest of the French players are crap when it's just their team chemistry and Domenech.

I could not agree any more with your post Andy, as much as I admire Alex to my death, Zidane was a special player in his own right, and it just goes to show we sold him for such a high price in 2001, compare that with today's inflated market and imagine the quality of Zidane plus at that age too.

He's not bad, but still unproven.
We need to take more risks from that aspect.

According to German reports, we are interested in Dortmund's Neven Subotic. He's a tall 19-year old central defender and has both the American and Bosnian nationality.
