No. We couln't take Xabi. Ranieri seemd to liked Xabi more but we did not have so much money. So we signed Poulsen.

He was not a choice, we were chasing Xabi for half a month and maybe more...
Wrong, we could pay between 10-30m €. Juve told it to everybody Aquilani was #1, he would have cost more than 20m. Roma said no. Ranieri chose between Poulsen and X. Alonso.

So if we paid a bit less than 10m for Poulsen, that lead me to believe we still have some $$$ to buy one more player. Juve say they won't and they've said the truth 99% of the time.

I have a feeling that if Aquilani doesn't re-sign with Roma...yeah, it's pushing it but Juve fans should dream a bit, they deserve it.

also what i like at zapata:

wikipedia:

Despite his young age he has become a valuable national team member after he was finally given his chance to start. In his first World Cup Qualifier he was a victim of a cheap shot by José Paolo Guerrero of Peru, and played over 60 minutes with a broken cheekbone.

:) real fighter, maybe the right man for JUVE

i agree about Kompany part
hes too young
injury prone
may have trouble to adapt in Italy

BUT in a few years i'd love
Chiellini-Santacroce
Kompany is 22, so is Zapata.
Kompany played several CL matches, unlike Zapata.
Kompany played 23 matches for Belgium, Zapata only 5 for Colombia.

So, except for the injury part, I don't think Kompany is less proven then Zapata is.

Do you want another injured first team defender so that Andrante doesn't feel alone???

No but he isn't so injury prone like Andrade. No comparing them.
He had problems with his stomach, but they are solved now and he hasn't been injured anymore since that problem has dissapeared.

I think they are both good, I would be pleased with either one of the two, but saying Kompany is worse then Zapate, IMO isn't true.

We bought Andrante last summer to be the rock of our defence. He is a world class defender but look at him now. Legrotalie offered much more to our team. We need someone who is NOT injured at all. Someone who will always be ready to play. And Kompany is not this player...
