Sevilla Snap Up Genoa's Konko
Sevilla have moved quickly to sign a replacement for Daniel Alves and have snapped up Bubu Konko from Genoa for just €2m to bolster the right side of their squad.
The French defender was being courted by several major clubs and Inter were even linked to making a swap deal for his services last month, but no concrete move was made.
After all angles of Alves' departure from Sevilla was agreed with Barcelona, the Andalucian club began their search for a new right-sided wing-back.
Enzo Maresca was originally tipped to be included in the move, but in the end the Italian has stayed in Spain after Genoa accepted a cash only deal for their player.
Konko, 24, played for Juventus' youth team after he joined la Vecchia Signora as a youngster having left his Marseille home, but he was to return to his first ever club, Genoa after spells with Crotone and Siena.
His rise to prominence last season saw interest grow in his services, but it is believed that Sevilla's assurance of first team football persuaded him to join them.
It was not an easy agreement to reach however as talks with the Genoa president, Enrico Preziosi, lasted more than 12 hours.

Sevilla's president is so greedy. He is selling Daniel Alves for more than 30 million euros and he will buy Konko for 2million euros. When Konko will want to move to another club Del Nido will ask a fortune, oh well that is business.
