You have ten million reasons for why are mediocre defence is good enough, but you did not even mention a single one? It needs to make sense and right now it doesnt? Whats that supposed to mean?

Defence is a priority, and if our board ignores it like they did last summer, then our board needs reshuffling of its think tank. This season we were only saved from collapse by desperate measures like an unwanted Bidone D'Or winner and a left back who was tried as CB as a last resort. Lets not repeat the same errors.
dont you confuse defense with CBs and that las resort left back was one fo the best CBs in serie A; at any rate i am growing tired of pointing out the obvious along with the many basic flaws everyone seems to include in their arguments.

You havent pointed out anything, not a single thing. And in hindsight, Chiellini has been quite the competent CB. But the position was totally totally new to him, and it was a desperate measure to put him there when we ran out of options due to injury and bad defenders.

So Chiellini suprising the heck outta everyone and making it his position, doesnt make any less of an error that they did not even consider him for CB position, but thought likes of Criscito and Grygera would be fine enough after the Andrade signing blew up in their face (as it was expected, was severely injury prone for years). Chiellini was just a last resort, him doing well there is irrelevant, when the problem was how they neglected that position last summer. And they should do everything to not repeat the same mistake.

Our fullbacks are our weakness, they have had zero positional ability (except zebina who has been decent), so the CBs become even waaaay more important to step up. While they have instead been mainly average. Composed organized defensive (Legro being the calm head in charge mostly) as unit protected by 2 hardworking DMs, who have been the real defenders who covered alot for them, and a tactical pressure game and offside trap has been our defence.

But individually wise, our defenders have not cut it. And thats VERY important part, individually being capable instead of mess up the positioning and make simple individual mistakes.

Betis waited until the end of the season before entering into contract extension talks with any of their players and have received a significant rebuttal with the news that Edu has rejected their offer of a renewal.

The attacking midfielder has spent four years at Betis since he joined from Celta Vigo, but felt that the new deal undervalued his importance to the club and has therefore turned down the offer.

Edu seems keen to sit out the final year of his contract in order to move on a free transfer next summer, but indicated that he was willing to follow the club's wishes if they decide to move him on while he still has some market value.

"I have been in Spain for eight years and I am very happy here. It is clear that I have built up a good relationship with the club during my time at Betis and for that reason I will do whatever the club sees fit," he told Marca.

Villarreal are thought to be preparing a swap deal involving Guille Franco in order to obtain Edu's services, and Betis may be willing to enter into negotiations now as opposed to watching the Brazilian leave for nothing at the end of next season.

I realy think we lack bright and clear strategies on transfer market after Moggi era! Everyday we hear many names relating to Juve but none of them is who we realy need! Juventus needs the core of Italian players like Chiellini and 5-6 top players from abroad!

We need to find another Zambro or another Nedved! Another Zidane or Davids

It is obvious that Andrea Barzagli will be best Italian defender after Cannavaro, But Instead of getting him, we go for Stendardo or Melberg (31 Years old) and Sandros or Grosso!

It's clear that Van Der Vart is a Juventus type player and he will be perfect swoop, but we read many names expect him. The same goas for Huntelaar.

Do we realy need Xabi with 20 Million Euros? after we got Sissoko and we have Zanetti and we also can bring back our Youngester from loan.

I think whole Juventus fans around world know that, we need a CB and a Playmaker! 2 International player which can make difference in Champions League!

I think our management don't categorize Juve among teams like Real, ManU, Barcelona or Bayern! Look which players these teams are after and what players we are looking for?

They are going for Benzenma, Deco, Adebayor, Drogba, Tevez, Diego, Milito, C. Ronaldo, Eto, Flamini, Ribery, Ronaldinho, Ibrahimovic, Essien or ... But we only looking for players who their contract finishes at end of season. Ask yourself if we were playing against ManU instead of Chelsea, what would be the result?

Can we compete with them next season or even the season after that? We should spend and get some stars! I'm worried that we will be suffer from our transfer market stategies, something that we didn't used to it in triade times.

100% this is right
this is our problems
players like DP ,camo , nedved , chillini and buffon is needed and without them we wouldnt be 3rd this season and would suffer more than milan , am saying this but i know that non of this will happen and this management will do what they did for last 2 years until the team will destroy and our good players will leave ,,, hope non of this will happen and i hope someone will stop this .......... and do the best for our team ,,

No shit.

If it wasn't for our good players, we wouldn't have been as good this season.

Juve 08-09 according to various sources

Buffon
Zebina-Mellberg-Chiellini-Riise
Camoranesi-Sissoko-X.Alonso-Nedved
Trezeguet-Del Piero

Manninger
Grygera-Legrottaglie-Andrade-Molinaro
Salihamidzic-Zanetti-Marchisio
Iaquinta-Amauri-Giovinco

Merlano-Ariaudo-Ekdal-Marchionni

IMO if we could get a defender like R. Carvalho then we would contend on many fronts.

That's a pretty good team. It's looking likely that Melberg will be our only CB purchase, So we look ready there. All in all If we get Alonso, Amauri and a good LB then we would be a very good mercato. I guess a top CB would have to wait for next year.

Our defense is the only issue. But fuck it, we should go brazil style and just neglect defense and just outscore our opponents :D we already heavily rely on our attack anyway

In fact with the attack we could have, and with the service from that potential midfield, our attack is going to be our main streangth. Totally unlike classic Juve eh?

4 fairly realistic signings that will improve us tremendously.

Zapata, Xabi Alonso, Amauri, Pasqual

Amauri is almost certain. Xabi is a good possibilty. Zapata I'm sure we can get if we make a damn offer. and Pasqual hasn't been starting at Fiorentina for a while but I think he's quality and if they get Vargas, then even better for us.

Is that asking too much?

Riise sucks at LB. Mellberg is good, but not good enough to be a starter hopefully.

btw HLEB is leaving Arsenal according to reports. We can atleast try:p

Today Secco said De Ceglie will be given a chance gradually so does this mean he'll stay and we'll start with Molinaro again?

We had one of the the best defense with Legro and Molinaro so if we can get Carvalho and a solid LB watch out.
