Young Canna would make sense for him to stay because he still had the time left in his career to play in top leagues but, at the height of his career he is supposed to spend his last two or three years for all he knows playing up to Serie A? That wouldn't make sense. Is he supposed to finish his career in Serie B? I don't think so. He didn't know we would only be relegated to Serie B because I think if he had known it might have been different.
So why didn't Del Piero, Nedved, Camoranesi, Trezeguet, Buffon, etc leave then? How about Zanetti, among others? These players decided to stay on despite the relegation and despite there only being a few good remaining years in their careers.
I'm sorry, but with those players deciding to stay on, forming perhaps the best squad ever in Serie B, Cannavaro has no excuse in my opinion.

For the most part, most of them didn't mind risking their careers . Del Piero was not in his prime and well he can't leave Juve. Buffon has another good couple of years on his career so he can't really be considered considering he is a goalie and goalies have longer careers.
On top of all that, Juve couldn't keep all their players they had to sell some to make money from all the money they were to lose from being relegated. So some of the greats had to leave.

With regard to Trez and Camo, if given the chance, they might have just left, if we accepted the offers for them but we didn't.

Trezeguet and Camoranesi wanted to leave too,but they were kept at Juventus against their wishes initially.Had the board forced Cannavaro to stay,would he be a hero like Trezeguet and Camo too?I think it comes down to who the board wanted to keep and who they could afford to sell.If peopel call Cannavaro a traitor,which i dont agree with,then maybe Trezeguet and Camoranesi should be called traitors too because they wanted to leave too.The fact that they werent sold was down to the board's decision to not accept any offers for them,not the initial prefernce of Trezeguet and Camoranesi themselves.

If Trezeguet and Camoranesi had really wanted to leave the club they would have forced their way out. Just like Ibrahimovic did, nowadays a contracts mean nothing. Trezeguet and Camoranesi could have easily forced a move but they didn't and i give them a lot of credit for sticking with Juve until the end. About Cannavaro we all know that he wants to win the Champions League and that is the main factor why he moved to Real Madrid, to win it. I like Cannavaro and consider him one of the best defenders and I don't know whether or not Cannavaro did say that he would stay with Juve even if they were demoted, but IF he did then i would call him a liar.
