I think the only way this transfer period can be considered a success is if it sees a top notch CB come to the team.

Someone like Carvalho, Barzagli, Cannavaro, maybe even Luisao. Guys like Ivanovic & Lugano would be silver medals.

Bonus points for grabbing a top LWM or midfield cover. If Riquelme is only £3m, that would be a smart gamble.

Too bad he is getting a lil old to become a legend =/ we should've bought him 2 years ago instead of now. ( which still wont happen )

Once we had a player named Emerson who is 10 times slower and lazier than Riquelme... at least Juan Roman is truly one of the very best play makers in the world.
Riquelme is the LAZIEST in the world there is no way Emerson was lazier. Riquelme does not move, he barely walks. He's a mummy or a zombie or whatever living dead creature. Plus he spits constantly. Then again if you are saying that Emerson was a bad investment why do it again with Riquelme?
