That wasnt a penalty.
You can't judge if a player is a choker or not based on penalties, especially in WC final shootouts. Those shootouts are basically a Russian roulette, ANYONE can miss. If a player who misses in such occasions is a choker, than IMO Baggio is the biggest choker ever, he was arguably the best player of the world in '94 and still missed. In my book he's not a choker, no one can be a sure shot in such cases.

Riquelme is a different case, he's a choker because he simply plays like shit in important matches, missed penalties or not.

It is well known that Trezeguet is a bad penalty taker. He missed several penalties for Juventus too.

Coach who picked Trezeguet to take the decisive penalty is a true choker.

It's pressure, unbareable pressure. I don't wanna come of as someone who's defending Trezeguet because this is really how I see it. If Trezeguet, or Baggio in '94, is a choker because of respective penalties, than the next guy beside him, who didn't have the guts to take the penalty in the first place, is just as much of a choker as him, if not more.

See the thing is,Baggio missed one.Trezeguet has missed two, both in finals. So that only gives the choker claims weight:D

1 or 2 it doesn't matter, I just believe that a shootout in a important final is no longer a football game, it's a game of chance where even the most reliable player can miss and they miss quite often. Those that have the guts to say to the coach: "I'll do it" and step up to take the kick are not the chokers, those that say "sorry coach, I just can't do it" are the true chokers.

Man, Sneijder was great for the Dutchies yesterday (in the first half anyway). He would've been great to lead our midfield after Nedved retires.... but yeah Real Madrid....
