Riera played a good match tonight, and has a great shot(the one that hit the post). Also of Espanyol there is Jonatas who seems like an interesting prospect. Renato of Sevilla would be good for us as well.

yeah I thought he was good.

Does anyone else think that Alves is very over-rated?
i think he just had a bad match. Cause i saw another Sevilla game where he was amazing, brilliant crosses, freekicks, running down the flanks.
He's good but anything over £20million is a rip-off in my opinion for Dani

I think Dani Alves is a great player going forward, but we saw today his defensive capabilities or lack there of. If I was Sevilla's manager I would play Alves at right wing and use a better right-back, especially when Riera was responsible for basically all of Espanyol's attacks. Usually Dani plays better than that though.

There is no doubt he is good going forward but I don't think he is any good defensively, this is based on several games not just tonight.

I don't understand why these guys aren't played as wingers cos they are shit at defending. Guys like Zambrotta and Oddo can do both which is nice but I am quite happy with a player like chiellini who is very good defensively but not great at going forward. If a player can't defend he shouldn't be a fullback.

Alves was a bit better when his coach finally realized they missed at RM and put Jesus in. :p

anyway...here's Juve's 2007-2008 Serie A team:

Amelia
Salihamidzic-Grygera-Boumsong-Chiellini
Almiron-Marchisio-Nocerino
Iaquinta-Gilardino-Del Piero

:p

I'm kidding but with Cheech and Chong making all the moves I wouldn't be surprised we field this formation in our 1st game back in A. :irritated

I haven't watched a lot of matches this season in Serie A. But the few matches I've watched to Palermo, the player who caught my eye has been Simplicio. He can be considered the dynamo of the team, his passes are accurate, he is tough and has a high stamina. Anyways, if anyone is interested to know more about him, check here.

Please discuss. :pint:
