Da costa is an average centre back. More of a Defensive midfielder/fullback than centre back. If the club are going to sign a centre back they should sign Either santacroce/Zapata.

These players are probably the best players available in thier position. Were obviously not going to sign every single one of these players, but signing two or 3 would make a significant difference in terms of enhancing the quality in our squad. For example Were being linked with an average left sideded midfielder with little quality in D'Agostino when we could sign a world class one in Silva.

CB - Zapata/Santacroce
RB - Rafinha
AML- Silva
CM - Hamsik
Playmaker - Diego/Modric
anyone think i should do it, just till the end of the transfer window? has he posted one post recently that made sense and did not demand Silva??

Yes, let's sign Silva, Hamsik and Diego and field them together with Camoranesi.
Silva-Hamsik-Diego-Camoranesi, what a creative midfield it is! :shifty:
I think Hamsik is not creative enough so better make that Messi and while we're at we could swap for Dani Alves at the same time, maybe exchange with Iaquinta and Zebina going the other way. I want all this to happen in january, only problem is they're cuptied.

let's look at what we need;

Zebina and Andrade are semi-retired and Neddy is close to it. The 3 key positions we need to fill in the summer market or even now if Secco wants to anticipate everybody is an AML, a RB and a young CB to partner Chiellini for many years.

I would pick from these players:

RB: Rafinha, Eboué, Lichtsteiner
CB: Santacroce, Subotic, Ivanovic or Alex(not that old), Mexès, Zapata
AM L: Zhirkov, D. Silva, Turan

I've never seen Mattioni play so I didn't mention him but if they say he's good then let's buy him. Would I want Corluka of course I would but I don't see those "rich" clubs selling these kind of players.
I don't rate Rafinha, though I haven't seen much of him. I would take Eboue, but only for free/very cheap because I don't think he is great. Lichsteiner is decent.

I don't know Subotic, but any of the other would be good options. Mexes would be brilliant.

Any of those LW would be good choices.

Is this Da Costa bussiness for real? Do they ever learn? The reason we have two dud CB reserves in Knezevic and Andrade (and previously Boumsong), is because they sign defenders with extreme little regard for quality or injury history (3 years, and they have only signed Mellberg the backup for free, who didnt turn out to be a disaster, woopty doo). Now we want someone who is benched by one of ze bigger calamity defenders in the league in Dainelli and Kroldrup? He doesnt even play a second for Viola, seriously?

Prolly loose rumour, but still annoying. Wasnt impressed by him in PSV either.

It's been on Gazzetta for a few days lately and they usually have a better record than Tuttosport and CdS about Juve mercato news. :scred:

When did u jump on this Subotic bandwagon? He is not ready for a team like Juve yet.
You seriously think I'd buy him to play him in every game? Come on! We have Legro and Mellberg so he'd learn from them and take charge in a year or 2. Give him the Coppa Italia and some Serie A here and there for now. Buy now before buying him for triple the cost later.

he's not the only option though, Zapata...
You can't really put two of them in the same category

Subotic would be improvement for future and who knows if that would work while Zapata would be a very good and expensive signing. It's Udinese after all so I wouldn't expect us to give those 17mln euros they ask for him.Would probably cost less but still hard target to get.
