But nothing will be confirmed in the weekend? I think we'll have to wait till monday although I dont think anything will happen before Chivu signs with a club.

are you serious? the only one out of that list i would say is equal is chivu. Milito has been solid for the last 4 years, can you say that about the ones you named? meira is good but not world class like milito same with andrade, barzagli in my eyes is unproven and is coming off an unimpressive season, he also has never won anything in europe or played in the CL, he only played a few mins in the world cup, that doesnt make him better or equal to milito, i would not call cris anything more than decent hes never really impressed me a great deal, luisao is awful he is the worst CB we could possibly get and pepe is good but not at milito's level.

you cant slate the guy because his team isnt good enough to play in europe or because he wasnt first chice in WC, there are plenty players like who are brilliant even though they dont start for their country all the time or play in europe, is van der vaart not good because his team dont play in europe?
u only become world class after u do something at the World level...not solid performances at a mediocre club in Spain...

well well well, deals involving Juve were so much better when Bobby was around hey?

Doesn't help we were dealing with a guy worse than Zamparini.

If Barca's offer is really 17m € + Motta and that other guy the f*ck it and move one.

We still need 2 good CB's. The ideal situation would be a 28/33 year old veteran that plays left center back so we could introduce Criscito gradually in the starting 11 and a younger one at right center back.

Young guns: Pepe, Alex, Terry(lol), Gonzalo, Burdisso(nooooooo), Barzagli(noooooo)...
Veterans: Cannavaro, Marquez, Andrade, Cris, Gallas, Lucio, Carvalho, Samuel, Ujfalusi, Perea, Meira...

hey, carvalho and alex would have to fight for a place in that chelsea defense..
and that wouldn't make either of them happy i bet..soooo anyone think there is a possibility for either one..?

would be extremely hard though...

so much for the transfer taking place yesterday....more potentially bad news-

Juve set Milito deadline Friday 6 July, 2007

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus have told Real Zaragoza that they have just 24 hours to consider their bid for Argentine defender Gabriel Milito.

The Bianconeri have reportedly offered around £10m for Milito with an additional payment if the Old Lady secure qualification for the Champions League, but the Spaniards are believed to have demanded an further £2m.

Now, according to reports in the Italian Press, Juve’s director of sport Alessio Secco [pictured] has refused to increase the offer on the table and is demanding a decision from the Blanquillos.

Rumours suggest that Secco’s impatience is due to his desire to begin making a move for Inter stopper Nicolas Burdisso if the bid for Milito is refused.

Burdisso is currently playing alongside the Zaragoza man at the Copa America after an excellent season in the Nerazzurri shirt.

Despite playing an important role in the Beneamata’s Scudetto triumph, the 26-year-old is not valued as highly as Milito and may change sides for around £7m.

And yesterday Buffon said : "We just need as central defender – I don’t mind whether it’s Gabriel Milito or Fabio Cannavaro .”
