Schumi IS a legend
Alonso IS lucky
Kimi is CLASS - will be even better in a better car, something in red perhaps.......
Although Schumi has resorted to a number of dirty tricks in his career, its because of one simple fact. He is from a different era to todays young guns like Alonso & Kimi. Michael cut his teeth in F1 going wheel to wheel with Senna (God) & Prost. Thats how it was then, men were men, it was a contact sport, about the driver, not whos car is faster, who WANTED it more. Schumi merely put this in to practice against inferior drivers, thats why he does it less today. He's started again v Alonso & Kimi because their CARS threatened his dominance. Now he's going & Kimi will rule F1 in Ferrari, Alonso is getting into a poorer, less reliable car next year, opening the road nice & wide for the scuderia. Forza Ferrari!

no need to be sarcastic. of course not, but perhaps the fact that he is the first driver and fisichella the second may have something to do with it? teams can say what they want, but a hierarchy inside still exists, it only depends how much in which particular team. mikhail brings up a good point as well.
and btw, if my memory serves me, during the course of this season, i think both renault drivers retired twice.

I wish I have the energy to go through the races of last season and point out to you lucky situations he've had.
I know you like him just because you don't like Schumi, I've met many fans like you during my lifetime, fans who supported Damon Hill just to support Villeneuve later and Mika and others.

how exactly did you figure out i like him? i have always been a fan of mclaren, not any other team or driver. alonso is a young driver that became a champion at a really young age, mainly cause he had a outstanding car, but the fact he was signed by mclaren says something about his quality. i have absolutelly no "feelings" for alonso, i'd still take kimi over him anyday, and i am not too thrilled by this particular move by mclaren. but to have such a low opinion on him, like you have, is unobjective.
I don't have a low opinion on him, I just don't like him.
Do I think he's a good driver? Yes, but not any better than Villeneuve, Hill, Mika, or any standard driver that has won races and battled for championships. Is he better than Schumi? hell no, he is not even close to being called talented. Is he better than Kimi? Hell no, he is not even close to being called talented.
Personally, I think he's a good driver that was lucky enough to be in a team that coincidentally had a car fit for the constant change of regulations set by FIA. Add to that, he is lucky by nature.

he was lucky to be in a team like renault, yes. but still he won the championship at the youngest age in history, that's got to promise talent. you may not like him, but you think to little of him, to say he is not talented is unobjective. you don't go on and win a championship because you're average, no matter how good a car you have. why fisichella didn't win it than? he is average, had the same car as alonso. alonso is a good driver, both young and talented. i agree he is not as talented as kimi, but they are both young and my opinions on both can change in the following seasons.

i know they are champions, but you labeled them as average/standard, therefore i say that's thinking too little of him/them.
mclaren may not be in the same troubles ferrari has been during the past decade, even further, but they are still in a serious position, having not been champions for 6 years and on their way to failing for the 7th year in a row. having that in mind and the fact renault is on great form, with a amazing car, makes his switch to mclaren a challenge to say the least. imo staying with renault would have been the more reasonable solution.

give it a couple of yrs and bmw will be a massive force, even taking over mclaren and possibly renault, now the buffers on the suspension are illegal, which has hindered renault alot, especialy in qualifying and gaining time on corners.
but defo bmw will be a big team soon, with kubica gaining more consistant performances by each race, hes defo a hot prospect

kubica is great, i said that a few pages back. he is really young and fast, i see lots of potential in him. also i heard that this finn who is gonna replace alonso at renault heiko kovalainen, or something like that i'm not sure, is extremelly talented. i think he won the renault championship, which is a really difficult competition. really looking forward to the new season.
