even $#@!ing manchester city generates so much hype that people watch them regularly, and buy their jerseys even when the team has 1 single marketable player (aguero is sexy indeed).

above all, the league itself has to be fancy for an ordinary football fan. serie a with their old stadiums, racist and bigot figc president, general racism in the stadiums, slow-tempo tactical matches are not sexy at all. i love serie a with the imbecile, still funny presidents, the history of the league, the traditional rivalry with milan clubs, the smart tactical approach of some coaches, but i get it when my primera liga fan brother says that he'd rather watch bilbao-sevilla or west ham-swansea instead of genoa-lazio on a random sunday afternoon.
quoted for truth, this is why hoping serie a to back in popularity and financial is looking futile for me -too many factors are against italian football today-, we better tend our own business, thankfully I think agnelli and our management realized this.

I don't know if we can consider Liverpool a fallen giant. Just last night they played a European final, even if it is only EL.
At least they come close to competing every once in a while.

Milan on the other hand...
and before last night it was 2005? they haven't even won epl in 25 years, almost the same with inter before calciopoli, liverpool is indeed a fallen giant.

A new deal from Barca with Nike, +/- 160 million a year
Real Madrid will also get a new deal with Adidas, a deal like Barca with Nike..

And the gap is getting bigger and bigger.. They can give more and more salary, get more and more player for more than 40 million euro etc..

Juventus should do something..

Roma with their €4M a yr Nike deal and €180M odd revenue will be a great long term rival for us :agree:

We desperately need to do an Atletico in the cl next yr.We can do it! !
I couldnt believe when i saw their nike deal last season, and it runs for something like 10 years :sergio:

At this rate we might need to win the CL 3 times in a row to be recognized as a top club by major sponsors again. This is getting ridiculous

Bayern earn €60M+ a yr from their Adidas deal despite being a CL giant.
These are the drawbacks of playing in an uncompetitive league with only one popular team.
We should be making more money from the amount of jerseys we sell alone. We already have one top 10 player in jersey sales

Fucking ridiculous.
How can teams like us hold their best players? Football is going to be top 5 teams with all the best players in the world.

How much those fuckers Nike proposed us? Like 16m? :howler:

"Now, Barça hopes to close a sponsorship deal by the next month, and two companies are bidding for it: current sponsor Qatar Airways and Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari."

So it will get even worse. And if the reports about the Ferrari are true, i will be fuming.

WTF!!!! Did you remember where we were 10 years ago?

Currently we are only one level below Bayern, RM and Barca. We have to try to achieve them first in the essence of this business, in the field and we are almost there, we have 4 of the brigthest youngs player around the world (5 if we manage to keep Morata and 6 if we bring Berardi).

SO knock it up. You're Juve fans. If you wanna be a whining little bitch you could support any other italian club, my advice Merda, Roma or Niples.

Player wise we are on par with anyone out there and i expect us to win whoever the opponent is. But we are talking about finances here. Barca is about to get 150M a year from nike, they were offering us a pathetic 16M last season. Same as Real, they will also get a huge contract with adidas. Chelsea just got a 60M deal with nike and United is earning over 70M from adidas. Bandwagoners are making their fanbases increase every year and they continue growing in every aspect and increasing their gap to us. They are getting ridiculously high sums from multiple sponsors while we still arent up there and thats the problem, we still arent seen as a topclub by potential sponsors and unless something changes in Italy soon we will continue to fall behind Real, Barca and the EPL money wise. We need a couple of strong CL runs with 2-3 wins in the coming years as well as Milan getting their shit together and give us a serious challenge in Italy and become a CL QF club again to attract more money to the league and atleast decrease the gap. Even Bayern will soon have trouble to keep up if they cant attract huge international sponsors
