After two 7th place finishes and a Serie B, I've learnt to respect the league title more than I ever have to be honest.
This.

For those not fully appreciating titles they only need to look back several years ago and how they felt when reaching CL places seemed unlikely, let alone winning Scudetto.

Why? Because the truth hurts?

I love Serie A, always have and always will, but lets call a spade a spade, the league has zero value outside of Italy, we have streamrolled the competition the last 3 seasons running. We go to Milan in the San Siro and they park the bus.

A semi final place in the CL gives us way more prestige than winning in Italy at the moment. We are essentially this decades version of Lyon in Ligue 1 in the 00s. They won the league 8 times in a row, did anyone care? No, Lyon's value came from doing well in the Champions League consistently.

I can't speak for anyone else but watching Serie A games doesn't get my heart pumping no longer, even against the likes of Roma, Napoli, Inter etc. It's just a formality that we will win. I've been excited for tonights game against Dortmund for $#@!ing weeks. Serie A doesn't make me feel like that anymore.

We are so far ahead of the competition it's frightening, look at all the money Roma has spent and we are 14 points ahead of them. Nothing will change next season or the season after. I fully expect 5 or 6 league titles in a row.
when i watch Juventus my heart always pumping. What i don't care about is other teams matches.
While for champions league matches i'm always hopeful and so on but kind of discouraged since we never had a good match in the past few years. I remember only against Celtic 3-0 at Celtic Park but that's it.
To do well in Europe you need players with pace and dribbling. We have a slow team. Tevez and Morata aside no real counter attack threat.
Lichsteiner and Evra don't really run past players but always make the little passes.
That's why when we play in Europe i am a bit less excited. Since i know we won't do well.

To the financial experts, seeing as we have managed to make it to the QF's, whats the likely financial windfall we stand to make at the end of the season? We were in more or less in the same position 2 years ago, with the execption of roma not making the groups whereas Milan reached the last 16's of that season. Napoli this year and Udinese in that season both lost in the playoffs as well.

I'm not gonna pretend I am on the edge of my seat watching us $#@! this corpse of a league, however it's not like we're doing anything wrong by winning it and I still get a huge load of satisfaction see teams who slandered us Year in, Year out do nothing but pale in comparison to us, and seeing us lift the Scudetto at the expense of $#@!ing s$#@! like Roma who believe it's their god given right to win it, makes me orgasm.

I hope we continue and expand on this domestic choke hold we have on the league. Let's not pretend competition alone would help our league. The only way that form of competition happens any time soon is if WE personally implode. It's up to the rest of the league to sort themselves out, not us. So for the time being, $#@! them and here's hoping we win every damn Scudetto coming up by a 20 point margin.
Boom! Awesome comment! Love this thinking.

I want us to at least win 5 consecutive, to 'match' the farcical Inter run of post-Calciopoli titles/hand outs.
6 in a row man. We absolutely need to win 6.

Yup...we need to really make th best of this good run of success and continue trashing.. thats all we need to do.

If we can make 6 scudettos ina row...it would be insane.

So we made more than Real simply because we are the only Italian team playing?

And people want italian teams to do well for the good of Italy
