Speaking of Plusvalenza...
i've been doing a little research about UEFA Financial Stability as replacement of old FFP rules
One of important rules and terms in that policy is football earning. This football earning is different from regular net income calculation from financial statement. There's some related items that accounted for this earning and some unrelated items that not accounted.
Related items such as player and staff salary, player amortization etc. items related to football.
Some unrelated items such as tax expense, depreciation from tangible asset and some unrelated expense outside football.
Expense related to women football, youth program, and football infrastructure cost is also not accounted for this earning too.
The rule said a club is allowed to generate accumulated net loss in football earning for three financial years at minus 60m. So a maximum of minus (net loss) 60m is allowed. I don't know about other clubs, but in Juventus case these 3 financial years are from 2022/2023 to 2024/2025.
If we take a look at our financial statement, we can elaborate the situation applied to football earning.
2022/2023
we generated minus 123m (net loss) in this financial years. It's pretty bad considering this season we played in UCL. I made a rough calculation and found out that our football earning in this season is something around minus (net loss) 80m.
2023/2024
We can say that this season is officially over a moment ago, but financially we still don't know the result. According to interim financial statement (half year) per December 31th 2023, we had 95,1m (minus) net loss. Increasing number from first half of 22/23 at minus 29,5. We managed to reduce cost, but we loss revenue too thanks to zero european participation. In term of football earning, i predicted we get minus (net loss) 100m.
2024/2025
This year with european football and club world cup, i predicted we get a slightly net profit in football earning. The number maybe 10-20 m net profit.
So in 3 financial years, accumulated net profil/loss of our football earning is at minus (net loss) 160-170m. We're still minus 100-100m from allowed target. Failing to comply this rule can made us get heavy punishment. the heaviest will be ban from european competition at least a year.
So How can we solve this deviation of 100-110m/? Yes, it's none other than generating PLUSVALENZA from selling player. We need to work on this untill summer 2025.
According to mercato rumors, the scenario of generating plusvalenza would be:
Vlahovic 40m (plusvalenza)
soule 40m
Bremer 35m
Chiesa 25m
Huijsen 30m
Iling Jr. 15m
McKennie 10m
Hans 10m
Pellegrini 4m
Rovella 12m
Miretti 10m
Tek 5m
De Winter 8m
Facundo 2m
Kostic 5m
Barbieri 5m
I don't expect plusvalenza from selling kean and Arthur. We're lucky if we don't get minusvalenza by selling them.
So dont be surprised if we sell any big names we had. On a positive note, if we managed to get rid of many unwanted players, maybe only one of Vlahovic, Soule, Bremer, Chiesa, or huijsen will go.
Note: My calculation probably not acurate, but i think that it's not that much different from real calculation. The point still stand. We need big plusvalenza.
