It's incredibly sad that we are behind Bundesliga. I never hear about anyone who even knows a Bundesliga fan, while majority of peeps in my generation are Serie A fans, EPL and some El clasico fellas.

Bundesliga is one team league who traditionally does poor attracting international fanbase, says tons of how far far far Italy has fallen to be less attractive then them. Evidently Italy has the negative of Germany (one team league now) but non of the positive, of their healthy economy /infrastructure, youth oriented set up and active stadium culture.

Serie A has zero marketing.

Bundesliga gets more coverage over here, yet Serie A is still more popular

To be fair: The Bundesliga and La Liga all have just recently signed a new TV deal, so it's a comparison between Serie A's old deal and Bundesliga/La Liga's new deal.

The next Serie A deal will be closed in June or July 2017 (for the 18/19, 19/20 and 20/21 season). Only after that will we know on whether Serie A has fallen behind the Bundesliga and La Liga and lost it's only financial asset, which was being second in terms of TV money.

Here in India it's the best time to be a Serie A fan, especially a Juve fan. The CL run couple of seasons ago did wonders. I can't remember the last time a Juve game wasn't on TV. There's at least one other Serie A game being broadcasted if multiple games are being played at the same time. Earlier if Barca or Real were playing it'd be tough for any Serie A game to get airtime. Not anymore.
