okay, maybe the quote didn't apply literally, and I apologise if it seemed that I was attacking or accusing you in any way... the basic point of that post was that you shouldn't generalise about a whole group of people based on the actions of others who (claim to)/belong to that race/religion/whatever.
i know a lot of people have the wrong idea about religion and all that; personally I don't even like the word religion, it sounds much too traditional and impersonal for me. I feel uncomfortable even calling myself 'religious'.
For me, it's simply a natural reaction to the grace and mercy that have been shown to me, and more than being about trying to be a better person and all that, it's about my personal relationship with the God whose existence and power I witness daily and can attribute to nothing else but a being greater than myself.
Occupied is such a negative word, don't you think? You make it sound like a burden or a distraction to my agenda, which couldn't be further from the truth
