hehe okay

Christians don't have holy sites, since God is everywhere, and there's no reason why any Earthly place should be called holy more than any other. I hope that answers your question :)

Maybe I should've made myself clearer :) There are of course particular places in which important events occurred in Christian history e.g. Bethlehem and Calvary where Jesus was crucified, but these places themselves aren't 'holy', which I believe literally means 'set apart'. Of course they're regarded as special places, but to say that they're holy ground wouldn't be correct.

Yeah, you can worship God anywhere anytime, but the Sabbath was set aside by God as a day to come into His presence and worship. Now even though God is everywhere, it's a bit different. Here's a verse that explains it

Matthew 18:20
"For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."

I hope that explains it :)

Not in the sense that they lose favour in God's eyes or anything like that, but I imagine on the more practical side that it'd hinder to some extent their spiritual growth. The church is 'body' of Christ, and we're called to share in fellowship with our brothers and sisters

Isnt it to do with worshipping the place rather than the god?

well... as you know.. those language threads were closed and for a good reason.. however, I missed most of the people that used to post in the late Arabic Juve thread.. we know what went wrong.. so, let's avoid it this time.. I'll write some rules for this thread if you don't mind.. (just to keep it out of "Tom's Demolishing Machine" :D )

so.. here it goes:
- no chit-chating (minimum number of words in every post should be 20 words:stuckup: )
- the language of this thread is english (forum rules).
- discuss everything you want as long as it is reasonable.. but arab football leagues, sport and other arab issues are recommended.. (see thread title)
- everyone is welcome..

those are the rules.. but I hate to call them so.. but -- well..

and hey.. I am just kidding about the 20 words thing.. in case you didn't get it..
