You know what? It's not fair.
It's not fair that the Son of God came to earth as a human and lived a sinless life, but was crucified so that the enemies of God could have salvation. That is love, and that is the Gospel.
But that's the system that God instituted from Old Testament times: an innocent life taking the punishment for the sins of another person. But all of the sacrifices that were made couldn't save people from their sins, because they'd keep sinning and have to make up for their sins over and over again. So God set the sacrifical system in place to foreshadow what was to come: the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus that could take away sins in the past, present and future.
Hebrews 10:1-4 - The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming—not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship. If it could, would they not have stopped being offered? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all, and would no longer have felt guilty for their sins. But those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins, because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.
The apostle Paul asked the same rhetorical question:
Romans 10:13-15 - for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? But honestly, I think the "what about ____ people" question is a bit pointless to ask from the point of view of someone like you, who has heard about Jesus.

Still, some people will never see these missionaries--tribes in the Amazon and of course people of the New World before the Europeans came.
And I don't think it's pointless. I don't think God is supposed to have favourites but some people really have/had no chance.
If you tell me about God, fine--somewhat understandable, but not Jesus who'd have been inaccessible to a lot of people?
