Because to me I have had instances in my life which I accept as proof that my God exists and that Jesus was his son. I used to be just like you my friend demanding that I needed empirical evidence but as my life started changing and I started having things happen I started questioning the things that my senses told me and started to realize, that there is more than meets the eyes in this world/universe
Fair enough, and we have already been through the personal experience factor already.

I understand your point of view and I respect it, even though I don't agree with it.

 Indeed.

But I will say this: the ancient astronaut theory is more believable than the god theory.
True.

I gotta say I love Greek mythology though. Some of the coolest stories I've ever read and I'm not saying this to poke fun or anything, they were truly entertaining.

In the end I have said it multiple times I think Science and Religion are two sides of the same coin. I think the problem with most on both sides of the argument is we treat them as polar opposites when in fact they are parallels

Fair enough, I have no problem with that.

I do find young-earth creationists quite ridiculous though.
To be honest so do I. I find things with my religion ridiculous as well, but in the end the religion isnt my God. YHWH is and his son Yeshua. Soi I follow him and his words. Solo Scriptura more so than church dogma and tradition

One thing about religions in the world that I find strange is that, it was only 1000's of years ago when miracles like parting of waters, walking on water, resurrection, regenerating liver, flying monkeys who could carry the top of mountains on them, etc., that any of these things happened. It's like suddenly, at some point in time, all of the freedom that the laws of nature supposedly granted to those "gods" somehow disappeared and was never to be seen or demonstrable again.

Strange, don't you think? It's like the whole world was working with a totally different set of physical laws.

David Hume nailed it: "Which is more likely: that the whole natural order is suspended, or that a jewish minx should tell a lie?"

    Newton and Einstein came.

Hercules? I thought it was Kratos who saved him?! :D
    Nah, I don't think so.

    Word.

I dont think that I believe in miracles still to this day, i have actually experienced some in my short life. I just believe that people dont believe like they used to and faith even in the faithful is weak. Jesus said" If you have faith the size of a mustard seed and say to a mountain move the mountain will move" and he said " If you have faith in me as I in you then you can also do these things " in reference to his miracles. I believe in this day and age when the mystery about alot has been removed the wonder and faith is harder to hold onto or keep. I also believe that it is on purpose to test our faith
