I have stated that La liga, the EPL, and Serie A are all in the same class, being the top three leagues in the world. There is no way to tell which one is the best, and it's just a matter of personal opinion.

Have you really said this?
I spent a while searching around earlier and all I found from you were numerous posts saying that the epl was inferior to serie a and generally slagging it off and saying how rubbish its players are.

So, I was wrong about EPL clubs vs. Italian clubs. However, that does not change the fact that Serie A clubs have played in 10 and won 6 of the last 15 Champions League Finals, while English sides have only been to one Final in the last 15 years. That is rather pathetic if you ask me. Sure, English clubs have the better record against the Serie A, however when it comes down to it they cannot get the job done. Who cares who beats who, the only thing that matters is who reached the Final.
Im sorry but whether they made the final or not is pretty irrelevent... there are so many variables.. eg . draw etc etc
Plus everyone who watches football knows that in a knock out round anyone can win on their day.
Plus how many games do you see where one team dominates but its not their day and the other team that did absolutely nothing pops up and scores the winner at the death.
So No... who made more finals means not that much.

All of this also does not change my view that the EPL is grossly overrated in my country and others.
Its your opinion and cannot be argued with but jus cause you think so doesnt make it true... The fact is the epl is far more popular across most of the world than serie a is ever likely to be... it gives what the majority of football fans want to see... The likes of you and me that prefer serie a are the minority not the majority.

Anyway Andy... You still havent answered my question... Which if you remember wasnt about which is the best league...

... it was simply how come if as you have stated so many times that epl strikers and defenders are so inferior to their serie a counterparts... then why do they come out on top the majority of the time.

Why if epl strikers are so poor compared to serie a strikers that they dont seem to have problems scoring against serie a super defenders, yet the super strikers of serie a struggle somewhat more against the far inferior epl defenders.....

Why?

What makes everyone that plays in the epl inferior to those of serie a as you so often tell us?

Probably because I do not like the players and I am fairly sick of the exposure they all get. If you were to take out the foreign players of the EPL, all the quality would go down the toilet. Chelsea and Arsenal would not even be able to field a team out on the pitch, let alone cope without Henry, Vieira, and the rest of the attacking players from each team, barring Lampard.

Nah, I have said that the EPL is in the same boat as the other top two, however the defending in Serie A seems to be the best. Also why do you care so much?

I'm sorry but I don't care. One Champions League final in the past 15 years is quite pathetic and it's a telling statement no matter what you care to say.

I wish you would not be such an exaggeration hound all the time. I never use such generalizations as you misleadingly state. The only "inferior" striker I talk about is Rooney, because I have not been impressed with him other than a few nice goals from time to time. His positional sense is not class, his ball control and decision making is sketchy, and his close control is not world class as everyone always wants to say. And its not always about head to head matches, as adjusting to Italy and everything football related is not easy. I just do not think Rooney's style of play would fit in Italy, thats all. You do not agree with that opinion? Who cares.

andy, for once give me a serious answer, tell me have YOU ever seen Rooney play? or do you read newspaper and think he hasnt played well? do you know how many goals he has this season? do you know if Man Utd fans have been happy with the fact we brought him?

1. Rooney has VERY good positional play, and the example of Keane is completely wrong because they arent similar at all. A better example, in terms of style of play, would be Kaka/Scholes. He is more of a goal-scorer and less creative then Scholes is, but still very good.

2. He has played very well, especially recently he has 12 goals this season, despite have a broken leg and missing the first 2 months.

Andy, talk about something you actually know about! Its embarrasing!
Am I supposed to respond to this, or just laugh?

I like C Ronaldo... more as a potent winger with good crosses than as any kind of forward.

But Quaresma is definitely someone who has caught my eye this season in particular. There's a quality player that hasn't been run over by the hype bandwagon just yet.
Ronaldo today proved pretty worthless on the pitch against Ireland. For some reason, those Dubliners booed him heartily whenever he touched the ball. Not sure I get the motivation there.

But yesterday for the U20s, Quaresma was awesome. He set up the two goals Portugal scored over Ireland, and his second was a brilliant, looping dink over a defender to set up a nice score -- as if he used his foot as a pitching wedge out of a sand trap.

but the difference is Quaresma still plays for the U20s which makes him infererior to Ronaldo until he proves himself on the big stage rather than the U20s.but maybe thats just me.

See, you lot suck! This is the best answer you can give me, cause you know I am right and have no come back whatsoever, but still you try so hard to hold on to your sad little biased opinions...

Don't be ridiculous. Why should I answer any of your posts when you never answer mine? I do not know how many times I have made an arguement, wishing for you to respond to it, and all you say is "Andy you know I am right, I am right Andy." Thats a wonderful arguement. Besides, I already answered your incoherent post indirectly, somwhere in this thread. Have a go.
