For a start, you ignored Shadowfax's question. He already said he's not talking about Rooney and claiming that you don't have an answer to his statement - the EPL teams have consistantly scored more than they've conceded when playing Italian teams in Europe. Give that I've regularly read here that EPL goalkeepers, defenders and strikers truely suck, I can only infer that their midfielders are truely awesome. So, Ronaldo-bashing then...
I do not know if I can answer that. I think most of the time the goals came against Inter and Roma, not Juventus and Milan. The two former clubs have played horrid in the CL over the past few seasons, since 2002, and lost by rather humiliating margins like 5-1 at the San Siro. English clubs tore them apart, and Man United beat us soundly when we were flu-stricken. If you would take Juventus and Milan and Arsenal and Man United, you would find a different story. The former has not even been past the Quarterfinals, so they might not even count in the discussion.

I never said I did. Your response to shadowfax just kinda looked like you made it up as you went along. :D Although it has truths, it still dosent answer what shadowfax said. Your trying to worm your way out of it. Go for it though :D

Actually we were flu stricken in the Old Trafford tie, a 2-1 defeat. The 3-0 was more or less a full strength side IIRC

Half the squad was feeling the effects of the flu though. Nedved was lucky to even play.

No excuses for that one. The Scudetto was the priority and we sucked in Europe.

BUT, we made Arsenal look horrid against our B team back at the Delle Alpi. That was a great game in which Maresca showed true class on the pitch. :wallbang:

We hardly made them look horrid. They dominated from start to finish, missed several good chances, Carini pulled off one of the best penalty saves I've ever seen..

but DAMN maresca was good in that game.. the only game I've seen him and actually believed he could be something... was it that game he skinned three arsenal defenders and nearly scored.. oh damn its getting depressing :frown:
