Only watched highlights, but I couldn't believe how bad he was against City on those conceded goals. It's not even about his skills letting him down. Zero effort, zero concentration. He patently did not want to have a crack. Even in a dead rubber match at a joke tournament in 40 degree heat, that's unacceptable at Juve.

Like... look @ 7:49 ... he looks at Matheus, gives him a weak nudge and then stops running (pretending to play the offside trap no doubt) - either watch Matheus and jostle him or watch the ball and cut the pass. And that effort @ 7:30 to cover as well.

When you're trying to find form and impress a new manager, the least you can do is put in a shift. Shows how this squad doesn't have any senior players (leaders) that can convey that to him or drive those standards.

He was completely lost on the goal to make it 2-1 too, didn't track the runner/too slow to follow him.

We're stuck with him.

Classic Juve transfer of recent seasons. Completely overpay on someone to the point where nobody can afford to buy him unless we make a huge loss, and even if they do the player will probably reject it because we pay them too much.

And - keep in mind that Mendieta's transfer fee was quite high for the time as well. What happened after that to Lazio? Well, you know.

- - - Updated - - -

Koop, Arthur, Nico and Luiz all massive flops.

All big money signings in a short space of time which sums us up as a club at the moment.
Basically four Mendietas.

Biggest flop since I can remember. Unbelievably shit, how can a player go from one of serie A's best to serie A's worst just by travelling from bergamo to turin. I mean its not even fucking far?!

Is this really the guy we all waited for all last summer? He doesn’t need minutes, he needs a year of therapy. He’s forgotten how to be a professional footballer.

I think we can sell Dougie and maybe even Nico…but this guy…who tf would want this fat, unathletic, disinterested bum! He offers absolutely nothing offensively or defensively. Just ambles around the field in a disinterested fashion most of the time.

The €60m man.
