I am no expert, nor do i disagree, but what i think he is implying it’s that all truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.
Don’t judge by already alluding to the third stage when instead you should first allow for the second stage to take its toll.
