He also had a clear chance at the edge of the box where he had all the time in the world to prepare the shot but got blocked eventually and then seemed to be pissed at the guy(don’t remember who) that passed it to him as if it was his fault for passing it a bit too late.

It feels so good that we spend so much time negotiating with Atalanta, paid what they asked for and in the end got him. Everytime I see this thread floating, everytime I see his name in the starting lineup, everytime I see a glance of him on the pitch, I get reminded what a great decision we did to pursue, invest and actually get him.

The system is one of the reasons why Koop isn’t working at the moment.

The guy was a monster for Atalanta and has been consistently a top 3 Serie A midfielder. He is not the issue. The issue is that he needs to drift to the wings to get in possession and we are unable to get him on the ball centrally. Koop is the last player I will lose trust in.

What I noticed is that he is constantly trying to run between defender and asks for a pass. But he never gets them. I guess this is how he was playing under Gasp and why he got so many goals and assist.
