Bunch of primadonas here You guys want a very good versatile mid player, BUT you want him to not cost 50mil, at the same time you want him to be chased by top clubs.... you want him to be on a reasonable wage, you want him to be young and has no injury history, you want a fancy one, but hardworking one....you compare what other teams are paying for their targets and unleash the inner manager/sporting directors in your young bodies who barely touched a ball in ther life, let alone handle/operate bussines at this level
I think a lot of people don't realize how good he really is. And you obviously never know how a transfer is going to turn out, but he's about as close as possible to a "sure thing". Unlike the vast majority of our supposed targets / signings as of late, this one would actually make sense.

That being said, the numbers being mentioned are pretty steep. Coupled with the fact that money is tight, I understand why people are hesitant.

Moral of the story. People will always find a reason to complain about something.

the being chased by top clubs people are saying it as pushback against the people (mainly daniel) in the soule thread who wanted him sold and the excuse was " soule can't be good to keep otherwise why are only small clubs after him"

so it's showing how stupid it is to say that when no one is after koop but juve showing that koop can't be that good according to their logic.

no one actually thinks the player needs to be chased by top clubs to be good.

If we put this as 55m deal, with 5 years installment it means 11m per year, almost the same with Morata's loan + option(20m loan +35m option) , but we ended up not take the option

If in 2 years we sell him for around 35m basically we done the same deal on him. With installment this can be categorically cheap transfer for someone who command 20 goals contribution per season, mostly fit with 50 matches. If he actually keep his form with us, we can sell him for 50-60m later and recoup all investment on him.

With Koop arrival, we actually have a quite formidable midfield with Douglas Luiz and Kephren Thuram, the only doubt left is how fast they can absorb what Motta want from them. For the first time in year we actually address our midfielders situation

If we really want to pennypinching more, we can do 5m loan + 50m obligation paid in 5 years installment, but doubt Atalanta will entertain this structure. Next year or this year, one way or another, most of our leeches already gone, so we should be in a better position financially, especially if we can qualify from UCL group stage and get a fairly lucky easy draw and go far in UCL like Dortmund last year (more money income)

Is he going to play the supercup? What if he gets injured? Risky business.
Basically a glorious friendly, he play in their earlier friendly too ( he play around 75-80minutes here). It is better if he injured while play with Atalanta and we cancel the transfer than if he injured with us in pre season and sidelined for 4-5 months

Not sure if there is another club willing to pay 40 million or more for him, and if they don't sell now for the the touted amount they may regret later

There are, and Teun's agent told Juve to make a proper bid or they will talk to other clubs.
