That was the tracklist, he played during the introduction of all the nations and athletes. I was too lazy to get up and watch it live in the morning, but I will be watching the prime-time rerun tonight! I read that cbc canada said Tiesto was the number 1 GREEK (?) TECHNO (?) DJ! What a shame! :groan:

It's Dutch trancelord and number 1 DJ in the WORLD for two years in a row. Honestly, don't these CBC journalists do their job right?

Probably meant number 1 Greek DJ as most popular DJ in Greece, which he is. Tiësto has Dutch branded all over his face, who'd possibly think otherwise? :D... Many people don't know the difference between techno and trance.

@pendir, I buy CDs from music stores in Canada, they have general trance music. The stuff that they dont have in stores here I dont bother buying ;) Too lazy to order off the net.

    Guys...

Can someone help me in finding resources to download fresh progressive trance tunes? Stores around here don't have any, while it's difficult to find stuff on Kazaa.

My top three trance DJs go as follows:

    Tiesto, AvB, Ferry

The likes of PvD and George Acosta come next. Oakenfold is slowly getting past his prime and Markus Shulz is slowing entering his prime. Shulz could quite possibly enter my top 3 within the next year.

    Are you willing to pay?

PM, I agree that oakey is past his prime, though he remains a very big name on the trance circuit. I must confess I've never hearda that Shulz, any tracks or remixes you can recommend?

His Colharbour Sessions 2004 Compilation album is great! Very dark, progressive trance. He has made remixes of songs like Oceanlab - Satelite, Tranquility, Lady Blue, Beautiful Things, and they are all more dark and heavy. If you like the progressive trance get him for sure. His live sets are also great! He's signed onto the Armanda network btw and has featured on ASOT. One of his trademarks is to make an Intro track for his sets by using a small sample from another song or just a small variation remix of the 2nd song comming.

Depends how much. If it's a full CD price- then not, I will just order it on a CD.

Mine would all be quite old tracks. I've not heard anything in the last couple of years that comes close to matching the quality trance of the late nineties.

    *PvD - For An Angel
    *Atb - 9pm
    *Veracocha - Carte Blanche
    *Ayla - Ayla (Veracocha Mix)
*Flip 'n' Fill Vs barthezz - Remix: True Love Never Dies vs On The Move
*Delerium - The Silence (Tiesto Mix)
    *Gouryella - Gouryella
*Binary Finary - 1998 (PvD Remix)
*Planet Perfecto - Bullet in The Gun (Saturday Night Mix)
    *Members Of mayday - 10 In 01

Yeah, I have the same situation. The oldest song on my list- "Air"- was released in 2001. The rest of the tunes are old.

Still waiting for more "quality" stuff.
