i think we should easily bring on zanetti back to our game...give him time with lecce ( from the 70th minute), the same with milan if it's the case, then ranieri will see in training which one is in form :)
I would risk Zanetti against Meeeeeeeeeelan, because he then has a few weeks to recover after it.

Momo's been immense for Juve no? Wish he played the same when at Liverpool :(

But glad he's playing to his potential (i still think he can get better though) I really admire Zanetti a lot. Unsure about Marchisio though.....

Juve plays with a 2 man DMF i beleive reading the posts here?

Yes, Sissoko has been great. Zanetti is great too, he was fantastic in the previous two seasons. He has barely played this season due to injuries. Marchisio has been coming into his own lately, he excelled in the Milan match. Most of Marchisio's matches he's been playing disciplined, but pretty quietly.

Yes, juve play with a 2 man dmf.

I'm leaning towards a Sissoko-Tiago midfield suprisingly for the new year. Tiago does add a new dimension to our game and he looked much better before his injury compared to last season. I want to see more of that partnership. He's especially important when the midfield is flanked by the lame Marchionni and the nowadays- pretty-lame Nedved.

So, now that many of our players are returning from injury, what do people feel is our strongest XI?

I would go for

Buffon

Grygera-Legrottaglie-Chiellini-Molinaro

Camoranesi-Sissoko-Zanetti-Nedved

Del Piero

And I can't make my mind up between Trezeguet and Amauri.

Trez is a legend but Amauri can't be dropped on his current form.

I love Trez, but you can't drop Amauri if he maintains his current form.
Absolutely.
If he keeps going the way he does, he will score 24-25 goals in serie A (so far he scores 0.65 goals per match) and that equals Trezeguet's record in serie A.
If he scores just as much as Trez then he should be the starter because he offers more than David in other departments.

Of course, everything should depend on the opponent, on our tactics and formation. Against some teams Trez will be more useful while against others Amauri will be the better choice.
Trez has a habbit to score hat-tricks and braces against the smaller teams while Amauri scored his 13 goals this season (including CL) on 12 different matches.
Trez is obviously the better choice against the inferior teams, while Amauri is more useful against tougher defenses.
Ok, this isn't a rule because Trez also played some great matches against great teams, but you get my point. We should use them smartly, depending on the team we're playing against.
