Absolutely.
If he keeps going the way he does, he will score 24-25 goals in serie A (so far he scores 0.65 goals per match) and that equals Trezeguet's record in serie A.
If he scores just as much as Trez then he should be the starter because he offers more than David in other departments.

Of course, everything should depend on the opponent, on our tactics and formation. Against some teams Trez will be more useful while against others Amauri will be the better choice.
Trez has a habbit to score hat-tricks and braces against the smaller teams while Amauri scored his 13 goals this season (including CL) on 12 different matches.
Trez is obviously the better choice against the inferior teams, while Amauri is more useful against tougher defenses.
Ok, this isn't a rule because Trez also played some great matches against great teams, but you get my point. We should use them smartly, depending on the team we're playing against.
I agree and I have said similar things when other folk have brought up the Trez v Amauri debate.

I will be interested to see if they can play together, because Amauri was supposedly chosen over other forwards due to him being a suitable partner for either Trez or Del Piero.

Well it's still going to be a long season and DP and Trez are no springchickens so the question is who's inform when we play the tough matches, otherwise I think it's gonna be rotation. As for CM it's going to be Sissoko if he's fit, other 4 rotating. The defense, gk and widemid positions are secured and only up for grabs if firstchoice is injured.

Right, lots of folk are quite happy to bash Ranieri and his team selections, regardless of what injuries there are.

I would like to see what folk would like to see:

1)When everyone is fit

2)When Del Piero isn't fit

3)When Camoranesi isn't fit

For me:

1)

Buffon

Grygera-Legrottaglie-Chiellini-Molinaro

Camoranesi-Sissoko-Zanetti-Nedved

Del Piero

Trezeguet

2) Same but with Giovinco in for Del Piero

3)

Buffon

Grygera-Legrottaglie-Chiellini-Molinaro

Salihamidzic-Tiago-Sissoko-Nedved

Del Piero

Amauri

Tiago and Amauri to compensate for the loss of Camoranesi's creativity and ball retention.

I like the formations, but I would actually play Marchisio on right midfield when Camoranesi is out. I've said it before, but I believe that he has all the qualities necessary to play there. He can beat his man, he can cross and he is comfortable going forward.

Juve_red you seem to forgot we have Zebina. There's no way I'd use Grygera if he's fit.

With our current players (when they are all fit) 4-4-2 would be the best solution. We don't have that good full backs so 4-3-1-2 would not work at all and not to mention Camo plays better on the right while I don't think Alex should play behind the striker whatever the situation.Nedved should not play.I know he had a pretty good game yesterday but let's face it,he had like 3 decent matches this season. So for me it would be this:

--------------Buffon

Zebina-Chiellini-Legro-Molinaro

Camo-Sissoko-Zanetti-Giovinco

Trezeguet-Del Piero

2)When Del Piero isn't fit

Same formation but with Amauri instead of Del Piero

3)When Camoranesi isn't fit

Now,this is a real pain. There isn't anything that would be really good IMO.

Marchionni on the right is bad because he's pretty bad.

Playing Giovinco there and Nedved on the right would not work IMO.

This way I think 4-4-2 should be avoided because we lose a lot on the right side.Grygera & Marco combination is scary.

4-3-3 would be my pick because our middle would dominate while we'd have top class strikers.Full backs would be weak and they would have a lot of job to do but I think it'd be the best solution. But I'd rule out Zanetti from this one.I think these two would offer more considering our full backs.

-------------Buffon

Zebina-Chiellini-Legro-Molinaro

---Sissoko-Tiago-Marchisio----

--Amauri-Trezeguet-Del Piero

We'd focus our play through the middle while Sissoko and Marchisio would destroy their play and especially Sissoko.
It's hard to pick players to play in the middle...we just have too many of them.

I'm allegic to Zebina, Dusan.

I also rate Grygera more highly than most round here, though he has undoubtedly been poor since the winter break.

I would certainly be playing Nedved less than Ranieri is, but I would still consider him part of a best XI.

Marchisio on the right is something I've thought about before.

It might be worth a try at some point.

Zebina: Briliant on minute and horrible the next, averages out to be mediocre.

Grygera: Doesn't have the highs and lows of Zebina, but still averages out to be mediocre.

How many penalties has Grygera given away this season? :p

An on form Zebina is probably better, but I just don't trust him not to make one massive error per game.

I would give Grygera 5 or 5.5.

He is decent at pretty much everything, just not great at anything.

He is an outstandingly boring player.

Agreed.Grygera is just pretty poor since the winter break, before he was pretty good and often saved us from conceding a goal.I think with Camo returning he will get better offensively.

Still,an on form Zebina gets my vote most probably.

Hi to everyone , i'm a long time juve fan but just reccently joined this forum .
In my opinion what our team needs more than anything , is a sporting director with a better vision for the future and better nose for talent .I am awful with numbers and years but i remember the january transfer window of a few years ago.Things started sluggish for us after the winter break ,lost some ground to the second place ,it looked like the begining of the end when....someone had signed Edgar "muthafucking" Davids and what a turn around that was .The midfield got the tank that we needed.Anyone else remembers what i'm talking about? So the message is this that it takes one well placed bid ...one key player signed to turn it all around and re-energize the team .I would beg Ranieri to give Marchioni his 5 cents and let him go quietly into the night ,not only does he not contribute anything to our team but his unneccesary one-on-one duels with the opponents defenders cost us possesion and we become proned to be countered.Sissoko (momo) is in my opinion filling Deschamps shoes very well ,a true destroyer and ball snatch-and-distributor.Can we resurrect the glory days of 4-3-3 (ravanelli, vialli, del piero up front) where every match we won was 3-0 or 4-1?To do that we need two momo-s and a healthy Camo in the middle and chiellini ,zebina, molinaro, mellberg. (not in that particular order)
