The thing that bugs me most is that it is evident that we lack quality players, and after half a season, through good static formations, we are able to avoid losses, and create wins.

But as teams now close up and take us seriously (not as underdogs in the begining), we start having difficulties braking them down.

So why didn't we bring somebody to create? over the winter it was clear we were in desperate need of one.

Hello everybody! New here as the forum I was before decided to call it quits. Hoping to stay here for a long time, to the post.
I agree we have players best fitted to 4-4-2 but I think our team has such big holes in defence and midfield that considering next season it is up to Secco and Ranieri or the persons sitting in these seats by then to decide a formation we'll play. In defence only Chiellini should be a sure starter, maybe Andrade depending on has he got knees. Molinaro should go, Birindelli retire, Grygera can stay or go but never as a starter, Legro is a good backup, Zebina's not great but when healthy atleast decent. In midfield Nedved will retire either after this or the next season so we can't depend our formation on him, Camo is a sure starter whoever our coach is, Marchionni will play the two games a season if he isn't sold and Palla is not (goddamnit Ranieri) a midfielder, Sali can cover everywhere so a good utility player. Then Nocerino, Sissoko, Zanetti are all pretty good but nothing special. Also Iaquinta and Palla can cover on the flanks. So for next season let's hope something else

Nah we have one

Buffon

Grygera-Legro-Chiellini-Molinaro

Nocerino-Zanetti-Sissoko-Palla

Trezeguet-Del Piero

--------------

Raneiri`s words to players:

"Do your best and please God,let it be Del Piero`s day"

And if it`s not...we are screwed.
I wouldn't be suprised if that is exactly what he does.........

If de Ceglie was in our team, do you think Ranieri would play him instead of Molinaro?

This is the important question, cause atm Molinaro is our best LB without moving Chiellini. If we had someone competent like De Ceglie would he play instead of him?

ATM Molinaro is our only LB, and that's the only reason why he plays there, imo. De Ceglie is better than him in crossing, running, defending, and the list goes on..I'm sure if he was in our team, Molinaro would be warming the bench.
