Buffon
Grygera-Andrade-Chellini-Molinaro
Nocerino/Zanetti
Camo-Alimiron/Tiago-Nedved
Trez-Del piero
Dunno.....Will CR ever play Grygera at RB seeing how CB is not his natural position?
I also worry abt putting Chiellini & Molinaro on @ d same time. They r our only LB's,wat happens if 1 gets crocked?

P.S. that 4mation has 12 players in it

I am fan of attacking football that is why my formation is this:

Bufon

Grygera Andrade Chielini

Camoranesi/Salihamidzic Almiron Tiago Nedved

Iaquinta Trezeguet Del Piero
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I know that you are sceptic about this formation, but i think that we should change our mentality and to attack oponents. So the small squads that are more difenseble we could crush them with attacing. But our diffence should be very contentrated.

agreed. The only time that type of formation should be employed is if you are down 2-0 and there is less than 15 minutes left.

Zebina - Andrade - Chiellni perhaps....

neither Zeb or Chi are that great down the flanks anyway so why not make their job easier by playing them as CBs

yea why not...i think that would make quite a well-balanced team as we would have :

Defensive players : 3 CBs + Zanetti/Nocerino + Camo & Tiago (kind of)

Offensive players : 2 CFs + Nedved & Almiron

This can only help to push Buffon into an early retirement.

imo Zebina should have been sold. He makes way too many errors and is not 22 years old where you can say ok he has potential so let him stay.

I could not belive it when the board renewed his contract especially after getting Grygera and Sali.

It was just an experimental side, as along with the 4-3-3 we have many possibilities up top. If we need someone with drive we should place Pavel up there, if we need someone with creativity up top we should field Camoranesi on the right, and if we need someone who has an eye for goal we could easily field Del Piero on the left of Trezeguet. If it was me, I would use the 4-3-3 and rotate players in regard to what I feel could be useful for each match, just like Mourinho and his Chelsea. He's used the 4-3-3 several times and uses Kalou, Joe Cole, Robben and SWP at different times in support of Drogba; different conglomerations of players sometimes work out.

It's a struggle to fit all the players we have into one lineup, as in my opinion we have the ability to field a 4-3-3 but have many good players. However, to fit in Nedved, Camo and Del Piero we would probably have to field the 4-4-2. You know full well I cannot stand the straight 4-4-2. The team we have is more suited for the 4-3-3, but many here think that the straight 4-4-2 can win us the Scudetto with the players we have. Unfortunately, though, they are misguided because we are wasting Nedved on his restricted left-wing and we would probably have to drop Tiago, which is a shame.

If Tiago and Almiron can form a decent partnership, I would disagree though.

It´s obvious Andy dislikes Camo which is vey silly IMO cause Camo is one of the most important players in the squad. He is one of the 5 biggest names and he didn´t make that kind of name by playing poor.

Camo is reliable, decisive, perfectly adapted to Juventus playing style, creative and skillful. And Andy still sees him on the bench. :disagree:
Please think before posting, if you can. All my formations prior to the one you quoted included Camoranesi on the right-forward slot, so get your facts straight.

I never said Camoranesi should be on the bench, but you're obviously trying to exploit one post you didn't understand, in the attempt to take away some of my credibility. At least give us a serious argument that is not based solely on your own stupidity.

this is the biggest issue we have now with this squad, whether we can fit all of the players that expect to be starters in a systems that is balanced.
The rotation method you are suggesting could be very useful, however would camo or even neddy be 'ok' with sitting on the bench till its their time ? i am very skeptical about that one.

The key part as i see it is in the midfield and whether tiago-almiron can play together and give us the cover we need.
Something that was good to see is that Ranieri was not just limiting himself to making it work but also trying other partnerships in the middle by placing nocerino next to tiago and almiron.

A system that i would think would be a good one is the 4-3-1-2 system with neddy as a trequaresta and camo, almiron and tiago in the middle with camo drifting a bit wide and neddy with alex drifting wider on the left. Whether Ranieri would consider it is a another matter.

I actually think this is a very good formation, I can't see juventus playing this season with either Camo or Ned on the bench. Both should be starters as both are potential game winners!

so who would take the remaining two midfield spots? are Tiago or Almiron capable of co-existing? I only saw one pre-season friendly, and both are great players but also both have more of an attacking mentality rather than a defensive one. If Ranieri can make them co-exist (similar to what Capello did with Emerson & Viera) were they rotate during the game and at some point one will play offensively and the other will play defensively. maybe that can be a solution!

It was just one game but from what I've seen, we definetly must include Nocerino in our first 11 this season. Almiron seems indispensible to me, Tiago is just too good to be left on the bench and he'll show his worth when needed and we just gotta play Nocerino. I've been sick and tired of hearing tonykart rambling on and on about him, I figured he's being biased towards Italians like usual, but the man has got a point, that kid is a BEAST. He covers the whole pitch and takes no prisoners when he tackles, if we start playing him regulary we really could have our very own Gennaro Gattusso.

So in that regard, I think a 4-3-3 could work for a us with something like this:

    -----------------Nocerino/Zanetti------------------
    ------Tiago----------------------------Almiron-----

    Camo/Hasan------------------------------DP/Nedved

    ------------------Trez/Palla/Iaquinta--------------

That would work really well IMO, when need be comes we can push Iaquinta to Camo's spot but so far he has really not impressed playing out wide. Nedved can cover in the middle for Tiago or Almiron if either are injured and we're set for DMC with either Nocerino or Zanetti, who I think is also very good.

P.S. I just saw Stu already made a similar formation.

I like a 4-3-3 formation like we played against Napoli you can always debate of the names but the idea stays the same, how about this

    .................................Buffon
    Grygera............Andrade.......... Criscito......... Chiellini
    ...................................Nocerino
    ............................Tiago.......... Almiron
    ................Camo.............................. Del Piero
    .....................................Trez

Like I said you can debate on the names as we have multiple possible formations. Nedved can play on the left or in center, Iaquinta on the right or as striker, Zanetti in midfield instead of Nocerino or Tiago...
