Camoranesi Tiago Almiron Nedved

.. A little unorthodox and risky(something which is befitting of Ranieri), but it could prove to be a very interesting and dynamic midfield. Whenever things get dicey and we want to add a little stability, throw in Zanetti.

It reminds me of Roma's midfield.

I think that's worth a shot. We might not have much bite in midfield but we will certainly have more posession and not give the ball away as cheaply. You have to make these sort of trade offs and take risks in football, so I say lets try it.

Nothing wrong with having three players in midfield as we know that both Tiago and Almiron can support the attack pretty nicely.

Either Camoranesi is on his way out, Nedved is retiring or we're going to play Tiago and Almirón in the centre of a 4 man midfield. I see no other route.

Also, that could mean Miccoli might not be used to get barzagli.

Tiao, nocerino and alimiron sounds like a very solid midfield espeically if Del Piero, Miccoli and another striker(Iaquinta) are roaming around infront of them creating havoc.

Marchionni and Nedved could be used as super subs for the flanks although i think marchionni will leave anyway.

My only concern is that it lacks any real width.

yeah this a great formation i think in place of legrottaglie i would put zebina or chiellini..or even umm grygera is good enough ... this was for defenders
