today was a special day as the training was open for the media, so there are plenty of vids and pics on twitter. this is probably the most interesting one: 4-3-3 was experimented with @MikeM

They could be using that to pressure the defence for the defensive training

maybe it will be used when we need 1 or 2 goals in the last 30 minutes
or a bit more to properly accommodate chiesa, who's playing fine lately in a more or less free role on the left, but a 4-3-3 would surely suit him better

too bad we don't really have fullbacks for a 4 man backline. kostic isn't one, cambiaso might be, on the right there's literally no one besides danilo (who's probably better as a cb at the moment), just makeshift solutions

You seem confused. Or totally oblivious to the fact that a balance is needed in real life football.
Honestly, it's FIFA nonsense

I also dont understand the obsession with wanting to change the formation and how we play when Allegri finally found something that works, has the entire team bought in, and has Juve top of the table

If Juve extend Chiesa and keep Soule, I could absolutely see transitioning into a 4-3-3 or something with 3 attacking players down the road.... it would provide 2 playmaking wingers, but would still provide the defensive coverage Allegri wants.... and you'd actually have the depth required (something you wouldnt have switching to a 4-2-3-1)

the idea of 4-2-3-1 is laughable for so many reasons

it's tuttosport, take it with a pinch of salt. during last season bologna mostly played either 4-2-3-1 or 4-1-4-1 so motta isn't fully set on one single formation. we still lack players for every option, remains to be seen how the mercato goes

GOALKEEPER(3)
Michele Di Gregorio GK
Mattia Perin GK
Carlo Pinsoglio GK
Wojciech Szczęsny GK
Stefano Gori
GK

Only outgoing transfer to be done

DEFENDER (8)
Bremer DC
Federico Gatti DC
Facundo Gonzales DC
Todibo DC
Dean Huijsen DC
Daniele Rugani DC

Danilo RB/DC/LB/DM
Tiago Djalo DC/RB/LB
Andrea Cambiasso RB/RWB/LB/LWB/CM
Juan Cabal LB/DC
Mattia De Sciglio RB/LB
Gianluca Frabotta LB/LM

The idea on our defensive department is to selling Huijsen to get Calafiori or Todibo as alternative. Sell all reds and get Todibo, we are finish on defense

MIDFIELDER (5)
Manuel Locatelli DM/CM
Douglas Luiz CM/DM
Kephren Thuram CM/DM
Fabio Miretti CM/AMC
Hans Nicolussi Caviglia CM/AMC
Arthur Mello CM/DM
Weston McKennie CM/RM/DM
Paul Pogba CM/AMC (RELEASE IF VERDICT GOES WRONG)

ATTACKING MIDFIELDER & WINGERS(6)
Timothy Weah ST?/RW/RM/LW/RB
Kenan Yildiz SS/LW/AMC/RW
Vasilije Adzic AMC/MC
Nicolo Fagioli CM/AMC
Teun Koopmeiners AMC/MC
Jadon Sancho LW/RW/AMC

Federico Chiesa RW/SS/LW
Matias Soule RW/SS/AMC
Filip Kostic LM/LW
Marley Ake LW/RW (LOAN/SELL) > Part of Juan Cabal deal

We need 2 more wingers if we sell Chiesa and Soule, probably someone who can play alll positions upfront to improve striker depth. I dont know if Adzic can play on the winger or as striker too or not. I think if he can flexibly play everywhere that will be great for us. I think after 20th of July we will know the decision on Chiesa, we can keep him and forget Sancho. But I think for Soule the ship has sail we need the plusvalenza and the money to conclude Koopmeiners deal. Hopefully Giuntoli can get the deal on our favor

STRIKER(2)
Dusan Vlahovic ST
Karim Adeyemi ST/LW/RW
Arkadiuz Milik ST

I think we will go for vice Vlahovic who can play as wingers too, because if Vlahovic play full time, this player still can be sub for another position, adding more depth for wingers position

Thiago Motta will use 4-2-3-1 and alternatively 4-1-4-1 (4-3-3), usually depends of our opponents pivot in midfield, total players 24 players, we probably can add one more player to complete 25 squad, maybe someone who can play anywhere upfront. All the green and red players are solely based on every rumours that happen in the news

note : all position are based most played position for each player from transfermarket from more to less
