Hoori, you tell things I say, and yet you keep on disagreeing with me, like I have different opinion. and no I didn't leave because of someone in particular, I thought I explained you in pms. I come here to have fun, when I see some people wishing my country to get destroyed, and celebrate on what is going in the country, while me and half of the Syrian people are living in concerns and economic crises, and specially the non-Muslims like me are having worries on how our lives will be the next months, will we stay alive? will we be kicked out of this country and they still our properties? well that's disgusting no? That's when I stop having fun in here, and I am in no mood to fight those idiots for no purpose. and no I am not "back" (whatever that means, I didn't leave anything, I get bored of the forum and stop posting, why some of you make a huge drama about these I don't understand), I am no regular poster these days, and not planning for the near future. I am sick and at home right now, bored, so it's the perfect time to visit
I hope it won't make you leave again but what you say makes no sense. Even though I really think Syrian people (like us Iranians) need to make quite a few structural changes before thinking about changing the regime in the streets, I can't understand how it'd justify killing thousands of people who, right or wrong, don't want to live under a certain regime anymore.
where did you get the idea that I am justifying the killings? WHERE?? and I said the same things, Syrians aren't ready to change or take down the regime, because they are not civilized, and they still believe in Islamic states, which is way worse than this system..
Changing regimes when people are not (culturally, economically and socially) ready to embrace the change is only like changing the outfit when you are still ugly inside, it will change the names not the natures, it will replace tyrannies with tyrannies. It will basically bring nothing useful but how about suppressing people so violently like that? It will bring hate which won't be removed for years.
It will change from Allawis to Sunnis, from bad to worse (worse part is not the Sunni part, Sunni Muslim brotherhood part), and believe it or not, this system has loads of Sunni sympathizers who are against fanaticism.
We never heard about Sunnis vs Alawis conflicts in the country within the years, because the system never allowed it. Same for Muslim vs Christians. We never suffered civil wars thanks to them. But there were tries in 80's and failed, hopefully this one will fail too.. I don't want this country to be like it is in Lebanon, Iraq and other areas, Sunnis hating Shias, Muslims hating Christians, I want us to live in peace together like it was done the past 5 decades.
Disagreeing with what Syrian people started against Bahsar is one thing, being supportive of what he is doing is a whole other thing.
Go read my posts from the very first day, and see that actually what you are telling me is the one that doesn't make sense. I never supported this regime, I never went to street to support them, and never voted for them or anyone. Keep fooling yourself that these were innocent demonstrations. They demonstrated against Bashar, and Bashar promised about changes and admitted that he was late. That was a victory, but no, then "people" changed their demands to take Bashar down, then to hang him, death penalty. Seriously, you don't have to be smart to realize that the plan was to kill him from the very first moment, to take this regime down. All these are planned by Muslim brotherhood, with the assistance of some western powers. It has started with Saddam Husain, they made Iraq a heaven now, a perfect democratic country, then with Tunisia (I feel mostly sorry for) and Egypt, who "suddenly" the brotherhood appeared out of nowhere SURPRISE!! Hopefully you got the sarcastic parts, I don't have to highlight them..
Americans wants new and reliable allies in the region, to fight Iran, Syria, Hizbollah and not to forget Iraq, who has major shias over there.
This Syrian regime was always for Independence, it is the reason they helped Hamas, Hizbollah and the one in Iraq to fight Israel and USA's interference, and this is the major reason why it's suffering these these days. Iran is next, there is no doubt about it, as it started already, "nuclear weapons" bullshit and then "trying to kill the Saudi ambassador", let's see what is the next reason. But sure they will have to finish Syria, then they will find their excuses later..
As for USA and the likes who are with democracy in the region, who "care" too much for Syrian people (btw, I never knew Syrians were loved by the world this much lol), why they don't do the same to Saudi Arabia, why Saudis don't demonstrate, or is it because they are living in a perfect democratic country like never seen before
Bottom line is, I must be a donkey to not wish a good changes for Syria to better, but that's not the case, because I know Syrian people very well, and I know what they are actually wanting, like I explained it before million times, what is being tried to be done in Syria, will take the country to chaos, will be way worse than Iraq or Libya, and will bring fanatic Muslims like Erdogan, Tunisia's and Libya's regimes to the government, and by now, you know why I am against it.
Like I said it again, again for million times, I have to pick between bad and worse, bad is Bashar and worse is the Muslim brotherhood. I prefer the bad one to stay. It doesn't mean I am their supporters.. See the point? or you fail to understand that? I am with safety and normal life. and that's what Bashar and co provided me within the years.
Democracy has tendency to cancel itself. If people are willing to remove democracy, it's their democratic right.
This shows you that you have no clue about what democracy means. let's say in few years, 80% of your people in Turkey became satanism, and they made a revolution to change the country's law to Satanism, will you welcome that "democracy"?
I know you answer is no! Because that isn't democracy, same goes for my county, if Muslim brotherhood has a lot of sympathizers in the country, and they want to change the country to an Islamic state, I am against that (Shariaa is equally the same for me as what Satanism and secularism is for you), which you call it "democracy". Because democracy is to respect everyone's right in the country, from minority to majority, give them the freedom to live the way they want, I can't live the way I want under Shariaa rules, that simple!!
It's still about democracy though. If people are willing to live under Islamic governments they will get it.
No, do YOU believe in democracy?
lol
