A brutal attack on Hamah city since this morning. Since the morning, tanks entered the city from the four sides.

Reuters agency describes what is happening as very violent saying that the number of civilians killed so far is around 22.

This is the same city which was bombarded by the father of this criminal on the early 80s where around 20000 people were killed. People did not forget that yet.

I really can't see how this is going to end. In Libya we saw a lot of defections from main personnel in the military in the very first few days, that helped us be able to fight them back. We've only seen minor defections in Syria, and the people are left alone against this brutal inhumane regime. But by god they are one of the bravest people i've ever seen. Despite the fact that they have no way to fight back, despite the fact that over 2k have been killed, despite the fact that thousands are now imprisoned, tortured and beat in prisons, despite all that, they keep coming out and asking for freedom, for basic human rights. I hope Ramadan will be the end of Bashar and his criminal thuggish regime

So do I. Militarizing the conflict ala Libya is never good, but i just don't see any other way. The regime will keep on killing and killing, any form of civilian disobedience doesn't seem like it will work with them.
