Category: General

Gianluca Pessotto had a wonderful surprise in store for his colleagues and friends. At around one o’clock today he paid a visit to the Juventus HQ, joined by his wife Reana and his great friend and president of La Presse, Marco Durante.

The journey is a short one from the Fornaca clinic, where he has been recovering, to the club’s offices, and seeing as the sun was shining, Pesso made his way there in a wheelchair.

Gianluca arrived at the HQ and was given the warmest of welcomes. He said hello to all his colleagues and friends present, before going to see his office, his desk and the directors: Blanc, Cobolli and Secco toasted the happy surprise with him in the trophy room. Welcome back!

Source: Juventus.com

First the man jumps from a window, now from the way it happened there are two conclusions possible:

1) He failed to kill himself
2) He knew the odds of surviving a jump from the first floor were high and just wanted to get some attention

Suddenly everybody is acting like he was in some sort of terrible accident. Give me a break.

Now he's back and he has what he presumably wanted: attention. Well kudos. Great moves there baby pessotto.

So, are you trying to say that Pessotto threw himself out of the window, in-order to get some attention?...and to be more specific, you mean he knew he was going to survive and that he'll end up 2months and even more in the hospital just to get some attension??? Yeah, Ok.

Pessottino was cool before any fall, Erik. That's where I think you're reading too much into it.

Not only that, if you know of anyone who has had to deal with depression (and I am sure you have, and as Pessotto was known for being under prior care for), I think it's pretty cold and harsh to give someone with a suicide attempt the "serves you right, attention monger" treatment.

I have personally dealth with severe depression. I just cannot respect people who commit suicide or attempt to do so.

:agree: I agree with you Swag. Erik is being too harsh on Pesso. Taking you own life goes against your natural instinct to survive & the stresses & pressure that drives people to do so have to be extreme to drive you "over the edge". It also takes a lot of courage to carry on after a suicide attempt & something that helps them to do so, is the love & support from family & friends.

Just because you've been depressed doesn't make you entitled to lash out at a person who obviously went through a much worse depression than you ever did to begin with. He attempted to take his own life ffs and that's pretty drastic. Unless you too have thrown yourself out of a building you just can't identify yourself with this so don't even start.

Another thing..

Posting what you did on a forum where most of the members LOVE Gianluca Pessotto is just stupid and being very rude.

You know absolutely nothing about me so I wouldn't make random assumptions like that if I were you. It doesn't help your case at all.

Well I'm really sorry if you did and I definately would've considered it a tragedy had you gone through with such an act. But I have to stand up for da Pez, man! I can't tolerate such comments about him, although I know that you're entitled to your own opinions on the matter. I just think your comments were silly to make in this context, a juventus forum. I didn't find them constructive. Sorry if I offended you but I felt offended by what you said. I feel for my fellow Juventini.
