The Porto Right BAck Ferreria

is a done deal for Chelsea (source Sportal)
20 Million Euro

I think that is more like a parting gift from Mourinho to Porto
because this guys is basically a Portugese Birindelli, (4 years younger Birindelli that is)

Yeah, he's good, but does he have the game for the Premiership?

THis is one of the famous pundits/journalists line in England

Like playing for the Premiership should be that hard
its quite far off from being the best league in the world

And if he could manage against
Monaco, Lyon and lets not forget MAn U in the Champions League

I am sure he will manage just fine
    in the dreaded :dazed: Premiership

still think its a lot to pay for a right back

Take some other world class Right backs
Current Brazil NT n1 Right Back
Belleti is moving for just under 5million to Barca

you can include that as a done one

And if Salgado was to be sold I doubt he would go for over 5 as well....

    but ofcourse he is good

I think you've picked me up all wrong...

I don't rate the Premiership as the greatest, or even entertaining...far from it.

I was talking about the week in, week out drugery of playing in a style of football totally alien to that in Portugal, Spain, Italy.

Much more pyshical, greater pace, long ball, yadi, yadi...how will he cope with that?

    From the BBC:-

    Barcelona wait on Ballack

Barcelona are hoping to sign Michael Ballack from German side Bayern Munich.
The Catalan outfit's vice-president, Sandro Rosell, revealed that a possible deal is set to depend on whether Bayern land Porto midfielder Deco.

"Bayern will find it hard to take a decision but we're optimistic," Rossell told Spanish paper Mundo Deportivo. "This board always is.

"Ballack is for them as Ronaldinho is for us and we know it's not easy to give up a player like him."

Deco has been linked with a move to the German side after helping Porto to the Champions League crown.

"It could be one of the keys," added Rosell. "Bayern want to be able to cover Ballack's position before letting him go."

Ballack signed for Bayern from Bayer Leverkusen two years ago but will apparently be offloaded after a poor campaign last season in which the club failed to win a trophy.

Bayern chairman Franz Beckenbauer said in May: "If Bayern and Barcelona can agree and the coaches and the player agree, then we'll let Ballack go."

I don't believe this. Bayern won't sell its best midfielder.

From Bayer M's own web site:-

    Uli Hoeneß :-

"We decide whether Ballack, Hargreaves and Kahn stay or go, not the players, we decide and we alone. We're in a very strong negotiating position, everything's going according to plan and we have everything under control. We'll send out a very good team on 7 August, you can be sure of that."

    You may be right Pendir

    Celtic interest Hasselbaink

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's agent has invited Celtic to make an official approach for the Chelsea striker.
The Dutch international still has one year left to run on his Stamford Bridge contract but is reportedly on Martin O'Neill's summer shopping list.

Agent Humphry Nijman said: "Celtic have never approached us officially, but unofficially I have heard that there might be an interest there.

"There is nothing else we can say or do until Celtic do something officially."

Celtic boss O'Neill is looking for a high-profile replacement for Henrik Larsson and Hasselbaink could be a short-term option.

The 32-year-old has yet to speak to new Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho about a new deal or his long-term future but is expected to fall further down their pecking order.

Nijman revealed that the former Leeds frontman would be willing to talk to the Scottish champions if Mourinho tells him that he is surplus to requirements in London.

"The situation is that Jimmy still has a contract for one year after this season," he said.

"Until now, we have not heard from Chelsea that they don't want him to respect that contract.

"The situation seems to be that they want him to respect that contract and, if not, they will have to tell us."

"His contract is still for one year and all players, if they are playing, are happy.

"But they have a new manager now and it's up to him to decide which players he wants to keep next season.

"If Jimmy is one of those players then he will be happy. But if he decides differently then Jimmy will be interested in talking to anybody and, of course, to Celtic.

"The new manager has not spoken to Jimmy yet about what he wants. Jimmy is currently on holiday, so we will see."

Meanwhile, English Premiership newcomers Norwich have shown an interest in signing Celtic's out-of-favour Danish defender Ulrik Laursen.
