I gave it a 9 and was so sure we would make top 8 in CL until Bremer broke & FatAss Luiz just fucking never turned up. Plus don't forget the jj curse. Almost every big team sucks right now but instead of taking advantage of it we are doing our gentlemanly rival thing. We are going out there evangelising and restoring every goddamn team's confidence.

I slightly overestimated our mercatto and gave it an 8, probably because on paper we seemed to have finally fixed the midfield and added some much needed wingers late on when even that didn’t seem possible anymore given our limited resources and difficult negotiations…

With all that being said as well as taking into account the injuries that makes us look even more incomplete atm i’d say probably a 6 would have been a more fair assessment.

Giuntoli however still has the winter mercatto to potentially balance things out and make it more of a 7+ if things get better in the second part of the season

I think we’re worse than last year tbh

Rabiot > Thuram
Chiesa > Chico and Nico
McK last season > Koop so far

Just a bunch of sideways move
It’s not all sideways, it just depends on what you look at…

Gatti this season > Gatti last season
Locatelli this season > Locatelli last season
Perin this season > Perin last season
Amount of 0:0’s this season > Amount of 0:0’s last season

Will still stick to my 8 rating for now

This mercato should be judged at least over a 2 year period, not 4 months. Most of them are long term investments but yeah, massive concerns over David Luiz and Kily Gonzalez.

If you do the math on this the average rating was approximately 8.5 from this group of Tuz pollsters. The lowest vote was 0.5. So using the historically trusted model of lowest score/average score the real score of the mercato was 0.5/8.5= 0.0588

It is settled, great job Jungtoli

This is it, though. We were happy with how the squad looked.

That we don't have a good team made of out these players yet is mainly on Motta and the Continassa staff

My assessment so far:

Di Gregorio: (B-) May not be a bad transfer long term, but hasn’t elevated the team for the most part

Douglas Luiz: (F). No words needed really. Only positive thing about this transfer is the publicity for the women’s team.

Conceicao: (A-) Great transfer so far. Not perfect because it’s still a dry loan at the moment, but could very well turn into a permanent move.

Thuram: (B) Tidy player who’s still finding his feet with us.

Adzic: (N/A) Too early to give a fair rating.

Cabal: (C) Low risk transfer with some nice moments so far. Rating goes down because of his injury.

Kalulu: (A+) Easily our best signing from the summer. We’d have a lot more defeats without him.

Koopmeiners: (C+). I like him a lot but he hasn’t shown enough yet to justify his price tag.

Gonzalez: (C) Nice attacking threat. Low rating due to his injury.

Overall rating : C+. We got screwed by injuries, but should have bought another striker and a CB before the start of the season.
