Idk. I think that they got him to be a CB. It's even stranger if they got him to play LB and he's benched, because some guy named Timber (LOL) started today at LB for Arsenal.

Timber is the Calafiori of last summer :D promising young hybrid defender from Ajax and Dutch NT. Who got serious injury last years august and basically missed entire season.

So now he is back he essentially gets in front of the line. But he is more RB/CB hybrid, so it's peculiar he gets the starting spot at LB. Even if it's the only spot that has opening in arsenal backline so makes sense. Basically just be conservative and safe in your passing there and you ok.

No one will take White or Saliba spots ever. And I assumed Calafiori would been considered to compete for Gabriel's LCB spot, but so far Arteta sees Gabriel as untouchable as Saliba. So yeah you right LB is his only real chance.

It’s so interesting that calagiori is a flop already according to throatera here osman, canmpione, and xperd because he hasn’t played in first few matches.

But if I say Luiz is a flop because he hasn’t played first few matches suddenly I’m a troll and hater and I should give him chance till end of season before judging.

It’s incredible how shameless the double standards are applied by delusional posters.

Love the calculation by the AI
Koopmeiners bought for 52mil+ 7mil bonuses= 52mil
Soule sold for 25,6mil+ 4mil bonuses= 30mil
It's a question being asked multiple times now with a point but apparently difficult to answer. Either you count the bonuses or you don't. Not one way for sales and the other way for buying but if it fits the narrative apparently.

bonuses are usually optional, you need to consider them if they eventually happen

agent fees and sign on fees though, those should be recorded by every single similar article/tweet/whatever

I litterally have you on ignore, but reply for this time. I didn't say such thing at all, you not even funny just lying for no reason. I expect him to be competitive for CB rotation role (Tho hard to win starter because Arteta likes Gabriel too much) and win the LB spot eventually. He has a long season to do that. Aslong as he is healthy he will be successful there eventually.

And I have zero worries about Luiz being benched. We seen it too often new signings being slowly integrated until they get used to a system or fitness regimes etc. Motta has gone out his way to praise Luiz. Prolly being patient with his slow start in trainings.

Funny how allegri ball 3 seasons didn’t bother U and wasn’t tiresome . But me posting about gatti Being a a problem is tiresome to you.

Thanks for proving I am right if it’s annoying you this much
Nothing can be as tiresome as Allegri’s haramball. But you’re certainly coming close with your posts.

okay, this required a ridiculous amount of work. you can debate individual numbers, yeah we undersold soulé and chiesa, yeah we overpaid for koop, bla-bla, but the overall picture cannot be considered anything else but positive. those incoming players are mostly quality (and by mostly i mean cabal isn't a good player), and out of those who left, we won't really supposed to miss anyone: wingers were replaced with quality players, di gregorio mustn't be worse than tek, midfield upgrade should be reflected by the results too

squad is also younger while - besides adzic and some next gen guys - not filled with complete rookies, and ~70m cheaper lol, not to mention the cheaper coaching staff. lawyers and managers had an extremely busy summer.

He did very good. Lowered the payroll, changed the squad and offloaded the deadwood by all means even if it meant terminating contracts.
Obviously looks like not so great bussines but they wanted to start fresh. Now we wait and see.
For sure we hope for scudetto but we'll be content with 2nd place and a decent run in the CL.
Team looked like it had an idea of what's going on first couple of games but everything went our way. Let's see what's gonna happen when it doesn't.

I rated it as an 8 overall, perhaps not all of them were our ‘first choice’ picks however in terms of arrivals we just couldn’t have asked for more aside from potentially getting a top rated CB, whereas when it comes to departures there’s been a few sells that have gone undervalue, also a few questionable dry loans while also not being able to get rid of all the deadwood which does complicate things a bit, but all in all i think we’ve exceeded the expectations in terms of how far we’ve gone with the squad overhaul and building an exciting new core.

With kostic departure, we can say that winter mercato is over.
I can't believe that we sign many solid player and at the same mercato offload many that we don't need.
Of course, having a perfect mercato is hard. The minus point for me are arthur (only) is still here, some undervalued selling, and took a little long time for some deal.
Overall it's still good mercato. Of course, still on paper. The real number should be in the end of the season, or maybe next season.

Do I agree with Giuntoli's choices this summer? No.

But do I respect him as a committed person who's there to work hard always in the best interest of the club and the fans? Most definitely no.
