7.5 for me
It would have been a 10/10 if we would have secured a quality CB ( I don't consider Todibo that CB) and a quality RB/LB opposite cambiasso .
Also if we would have removed all of the deadwood from the squad.
enjoy brick layer as starting cb

imagine you have a old car that needs a lot of work

new engine
new transmission
new headlights
new tires

you go and get all of those. except one of those tires you don't replace and use a brick instead

your car isn't a 10/10 working condition. it's not a 9 or a 7 or a 6 either.

When we look back 3-4 years from now, I think this window will be remembered for 3 things by fans.

The first is the much needed complete overhaul of the midfield. This should have been priority #1 going into the summer, and Giuntoli did a great job. Even if somehow it doesn't turn out well, in the moment, I had zero complaints on what he did.

The other 2 we'll see on.

If Calafiori turns out to be a star at Arsenal and for the national team, everyone will look back on the fact that we had the opportunity to sign him and didnt do it.

The other is Chiesa. Like him or not, he was extremely popular and the decision to move on from him was controversial. If he goes on to Liverpool and gets back to what he was pre-Allegri, fans will be upset. Especially because we sold him for pennies on the dollar. And if he performs well at Liverpool, Nico Gonzalez better be a hit of a signing and perform well at Juve.

If Calafiori turns out to be a star at Arsenal
On the bench again today. Played in the last 30 minutes only because Rice got a red card and Arsenal needed more defenders.
He will have to hope for an injury of Saliba or Gabriel, because those two have been functioning amazingly for a while. If the two stay injury-free, he might not win a starting place this season.

Hasn't he mostly been playing LB for them?

It was an odd choice from him given how well Saliba and Gabriel have been doing. Unless he wants to play LB or Arsenal play some sort of hybrid formation where there are 3 centre backs.

I think it is way too early to judge him or Todibo not starting though.
