    Tak!

I have always been overly optimistic after our mercato. Always. This year I expect us to challenge Fiorentina and the likes, based on our mercato. Since my previous expectations have been way off, I hope that I am wrong once again.

Zhegrova>Nico

Let’s just hope we can get him :xfingers:
He was amazing against us and when I saw him against some other team (can't recall). But Nico has taken the RWB role, and I guess Zhegrova will instead compete with Conceciao for RW/RAM, so who will compete with Mario for RWB position? Cambiaso can obviously play there but then Kostic will take LWB position and then I will cry a little bit.

So let me get this straight... Douglas Luiz amortised cost is around 39 mill... Forest will only pay 30... So we're letting him go on loan with option/obligation to buy for 30 just to bring the amortised cost down, effectively giving discount to Forest?

Nottingham Forest who have quite literally spent more on players I haven't even heard of or of less proven status in the league in recent days....

WTF IS THIS!!! Make them pay the full 39/40 mill ffs had no troubles paying for the likes of freaking McAtee and Hutchinson.

We have been a charity organization ever since Marotta left us. Even back then, we still released players for free instead of selling them for something to at least cover agent fees or something.

Not really. It's like asking Comolli if we can have a RWB and he replying we have Gatti at home, he and everyone else in the group can play RWB.

McAtee has played like 400mins last season but he accomplished more than Luiz since he arrived. Plus he's English and EPL teams do need a certain amount of those.

I can't even blame Forest at this point. Why would anyone overspend for Luiz?

Luiz is a far more accomplished player in the EPL than McAtee and Hutchinson have been, sorry but we are talking about a player who was one of the best midfielders in the EPL before joining Juve, this idea we loan them Luiz just to bring his amortised cost down and take a lower fee sickens me.

I agree with that part. Luiz was a beast in England. However, the word was is the key part.

It would be so JJ to gift him on a loan because they've spent all the money on other signings

Doesn't really matter if he was, he brings guarantees and Edu wanted him at Arsenal so he knows his value.

Been a soft spot for quite sometime now since Licht left. Since then it’s always eventually been RM/RAM and other Mids dropping back into that spot filling the void. Between that time was a jimmy rig placement for sometime with De Sciglio, placed there like a piece of bubble gum plugging a leaking water pipe.

Hutchinson seems like an absurd overpay, but he has this 'England U21' moniker, and they are all the next great thing, aren't they. Because Forest's manager wasn't happy that they hadn't signed 427 players like last summer their owner has gone into overdrive and this is what happens. But they can afford it, everyone in the PL can if they want to.

They would pay for around €40m between loan fee, transfer fee, bonus i believe. They already make improvement on their squad especially player rotation.

Elanga replaced by Ndoye.
Hutchinson will be rotation for Gibbs White as AM
McAtee will be rotation for winger (Hudson Odoi or Ndoye)
Igor Jesus will be cover for Wood
Jair Cunha will be cover for Murillo or Milenkovic

They still short players rotate with Eliott Anderson and Sangare their 2 CM. That's why they need Douglas.

This PL team splashing money left and right for players like Broja, Okafor, Doak, Ugochukwu for €20 - 30m. Then €40m for Douglas will still doable

He's got a british passport. That adds +30% market value for English clubs. Just as we overpay for Italian talents

It still doesn't add up, how can a former man city bench player be worth nearly as much as Forest are prepared to pay for someone who was formerly one of the best mids in the EPL?

We are getting our pants pulled down on this and Forest are quite literally laughing their arses off at it.

Great if they can afford it, so make them pay for it, I'm sick and tired of us giving concessions especially to clubs who I know can afford it. It needs to stop! We're only devaluing our market.
