It’s a close race so far. I won’t spill all the details, but here’s the inside info shared by one of the favorites (I won’t say who, though many consider him the top contender). Some hits and misses, but most of his predictions are still in play:


1. I'm fairly certain we will sign an Italian striker of some sorts. Pinamonti/Pafundi/Berardi/Retegui (- 4 pts)
2. David is far more likely than Gyokeres (+3 pts)
3. Luiz is almost certainly out (+2 pts)
4. We won't sign Chico. (-3 pts)
5. If you want my honest opinion, I recon our budget for a new striker is circa 50 mill, that will probably get us someone like Openda from RB (+10 pts)
6. Keep an eye out on Theo Hernandez, we may go back in for him, possible swap deal with Dusan (-2 pts)
7. Keep an eye on Yilmaz from Galatasaray (-2 pts)
8. Tonali is unrealistic (+2 pts)
9. Carney Chukwuemeka links (-2 pts)
10. We’re gonna sign Amrabat (-2 pts)
11. no way we can sign Hjulmand in a part exchange deal (+2 pts)
