More technically gifted indeed, nothing against him from this point of view, in fact even a bit similar to a right footed Dybala in skill, but also just as injury prone lately and way less willing to run and track back or sacrifice for the team the way that Morata would, also less likely to be happy accepting a back-up role here and his wages will also probably be much higher than what a back-up should be paid.

I don’t necessarily think one excludes the other as they are very different type of players in regards to what they can contribute and i believe that if the club is really serious about Depay than it means we are looking at him as a potential starter and also as one of the main goal threats we will have for this upcoming season.
Given our options on the left/center he wouldnt have to settle to a back up role.

He would be a starter on the left a lot of the time and the first option to rotate Vlahovic imo. With Chiesa recovering and Di Maria playing something like 70% of the minutes Depay would be among our most played attacker. He is kind of an ass but at least he has the talent and goal threat that Morata lacks.

I am not so sure about him covering as vice Vlahovic tbh, unless we will change tactics all together and play with a false 9 when Depay needs to play there because him and Vlahovic are not similar players neither in style or size… but i agree as a LW or even SS playing on the back of Vlahovic he could potentially be very useful.

There are also links to Martial and Werner and from this bunch I would be really inclined to try on Timo, still young, not really injury prone and tons of pace.

Also Muriel
I rather we get Muriel for the vice Vlahovic spot but the wiser decision for now will be someone who can play as a forward and as a LW which means Martial Timo or Morata

pro barca papers, like tuttosport for juve

and the article is shite -according to what they say in italy, juve is interested, bla bla
After what they have done to him i see no other solution than Barca releasing him for free - he basically resigned from all the benefits of free player just to join them and now they are pushing him out, demanding 20m at the same time. I understand they need of more money but this is really disrespectful towards him.

Anyone but Morata and Kean please. Not that I think any of the other names mentioned would do much better but I don't think beating a dead horse is the way to go Morata and Kean ahve been tried , tested and failed.

It's all relative to the competition. Its not like they (Milan/Inter) have great squads or any depth either. They won their leagues with ancient Girouds, Sanchez, Darmian and Ashley Young types coming from the bench.

This first 11 is an almost entirely new one compared to Pirlos. We are building a new core.
I was just pointing out that right now we have a really incoherent squad that doesnt fit together too well, its bloated in the CM department and very weak on the left side, hardly any attacking depth etc.

Sure, we can and should compete against Milan and Inter, otherwise whats the point in short term solutions, right?
