am I the only one who'd rather focus on midfield and on a winger (beside Di Maria)?? rather than splurge on a LB?
Let's focus on getting people for midfield like Milinkovic and Frattesi before a replacement for Alex Sandro..
My response to that would be if we line-up right now in formation, RB and LB are the position MOST clearly where we are lacking quality.

Midfield needs depth and probably a top level midfielder, yes. But even with a midfield of Pogba/Locatelli/Zakaria or Pogba/Locatelli/McKennie or Pogba/Locatelli/Rabiot is better than whomever lines up at LB/RB. Those two spots we have nothing. We have provincial level players playing there. And in a 4-3-3 formation (im assuming) where the fullbacks can provide so much threat both in attack and support in defense, I think having BOTH sides be glaring drops in quality compared to the rest of the squad makes both the clear places where improvement in mandatory and firstmost.

According to the Portuguese newspaper A Bola, #Juventus would be following Alejandro #Grimaldo from #Benfica. The Portuguese club would want between 15 and 20mln€ to sell the player. EPL clubs are also after the fullback.

"The contact between #Juventus and the entourage of #Zaniolo dates back to last weekend during the #UCL final in Paris. The bianconeri should first sell, but the appreciation of the #Roma player has been there for some time and was reiterated. It will be a very long #calciomercato..."

#Sporting are pressing for #Israel: the agent of the Uruguayan goalkeeper is ready to travel to Lisbon in the next few hours should positive signals arrive from the open dialogue between the two clubs.

So we’re going to buy one of the most injured players on the planet just to have him play for one of the most injured clubs on the planet. Sounds like a recipe for success.
The counter point is that every player we buy will get hurt inevitably. So in that context, does it matter if you buy injury prone players?

So you’re saying even if we get players who aren’t known for being injury prone will turn injury prone as soon as they join the great JJ?

I wonder where you got this insane idea from.
