So… first you people say we are getting Di María and Perisic free to invest money in other areas…

Then we are getting Pogba free to invest in other areas…

now we will get Acerbi to also invest in other areas…

Does Udogie and Molina cost 80M each or are we getting freaking Mbappe that we need to invest so much freaking money?!?!?

Absolutely, but others will choose to live in the past, appreciating the kings of Geezerdom and the ST boost Geriatrics might give us.
The DM does not need to be a regista FFS just needs to be competent in possession and passing under pressure. Primary role is to protect the defensive line and cover that space. The CMs and wingers ahead of him can create.

We paid 60m for Chiesa just 2 weeks ago to make the deal permanent.

We also brought Vlahovic for 80m 4 months ago.

Adding Pogba and Di Maria to the squad for free is no joke.

I don't know why you guys are not hyped. We have added an actual Winger who is versatile to play in different position and one of the best midfielder in the world for free!!

Having the chance to fill 2 biggest holes in the lineup with no money is just a magifcient business without a shadow of a doubt.

You can't count on chiesa in the next season, he'll be playing 15-20 minutes until fully fit
Pogba is super injury prone
Di maria is 35, obvisouly can't play all the matches
Perisic is 33 but running down the wing for 90 minutes like he is 20 years old, will see.
Acerbi is bang average
Gatti is a dark horse
Raspadori is a question mark
You simply can't be excited about it

People wrote Modric off 2 years ago and guess what happened? he is still going strong to this date. Di Maria isn't that much old. He was best player of Copa America last summer. Even in his current form, he is miles ahead of anyone we Can buy to replace useless Berna.

Pogba is a different story. I'm pretty sure he will show up big time here. The poisonous environment of Man u destroyed him mentally. He wanted to come here 2 years ago, but the Covid came and we were in red suddenly.

Juventus had a chance to play
Morata
Chiesa - Dybala - Kulusevski

now we will have ot agree on
Vlahovic
Perisic - Raspadori ? - Di Maria

But maybe our jurassic park dinosaurball coach will still stick to 442 with Rabiot as LM

I don't think we will go for both Di Maria and perisici. For an stop gap, Di Maria or Perisic totally making sense.

We just can't buy the best talent in every position. Every team needs these kind of signing. Look how Marotta took Inter back to the Top. He signed a hand full of veterans. That helped them massively.

ok, I can actually understand that… so I give you the question…

That money that we are saving by bringing this players for free… is to invest in who exactly?

Cause we are not bringing SMS… so in who are we investing?

Invested in Vlahovic.
Vlahovic was payed with Exor money… so that’s not true…

But let’s say that that’s the answer… that would mean that we are not “investing”… we are paying a debt, in which case, we are bring players for free not to “invest in other areas” we are bring free players cause we are broke…

We needed to sell Kulu. Without him being sold there would be no Vlahovic. BTW, Kulu is way overrated. He is too slow and uninspiring for a winger.

And about Dybala. His occupied position is a headache for any coach .He is not a winger, nor a CF. His passing and productivity has regreesd in the last few years. I'm not talking about his injuries. But his overall quality has regreesd a lot.

I'm much bitter about losing Cancelo and spinazzola though . We had 2 best RBs and Lbs of the whole Europe and we somehow managed to lose both of them

Dude, nobody knows if that is the case. We had huge debts and Exor money was largely to cover those while we're still making an expected loss this season again. Stop the narrative.

If we're not buying huge names, it's obviously because we can't, like you say so. We'd have already presented SMS if we could've and everybody knows it.

The 'investments' of this mercato will probably be CB and LB if the rumours are true.

We spent 160m in the last 3 months to buy Chiesa and Vlahovic. So there shouldn't be considerable amount of cash left around to spend. unless we sell Artur and Rabiot to finance it. Even then, I'm not sure we could splash another 70m for SMS.
We need to spend the remaining Cash on Defense. We are in dire need of at least 3 signing in defence.

Once again ignoring our biggest problem area, the midfield. Fuck that shit.

Again my question… who are we investing?

If the answer is Chiesa and Vlahovic then we are not investing we are paying debts…

Midfield? We are not bringing SMS, what the papers say is that besides Pogba (who comes for free so no investment there) we are interested in bringing Paredes but that would be an exchange for Kean… so there will be no investing in the midfield

Are we investing in a defender? So why bringing Acerbi? we have Gatti for that “4th spot”… if we are bringing Acerbi to cover Chiellini’s spot then we are not “investing” in the defense either…

That only leaves the left back and the right back… so that means that we are signing all those free players to invest in Udogie and Molina? Are they THAT expensive???

Listen…. All I’m saying is that maybe we should stop lying to ourselves on this “we are bring in XXXX to invest in other positions” and let’s just accept that we are bringing free players cause we don’t have money to spend or to invest… and that’s that.

I don't believe we are. We're targeting Pogba/SMS and Jorginho/Paredes while we already added Zakaria and Locatelli last season and we're probably assessing Rovella, Miretti, Fagioli too. Depending on sales...

You're asking the wrong question. We're investing in the team as a whole, not fifa22 practices where you splash the budget on one marquee signing when you have 10 holes in the squad.

The names we're being linked with are very clear upgrades. That's all I care about.
